It's a classic music composition, reading Annually Chris's mum asked him to do. Neil then added the lyrics from a poem and feels more like a musical piece excerpt than a PSB tune.

I'm loving the lyrics, and your review has simply whetted my appetite further....Greendrake wrote: ↑Thu 06 May 2021, 8:07 am Cricket wife is so dark, moody and sorrowful. Played it once and not yet willing to play it second time (rarely ever happens with new PSB tracks).
Itching for it to arrive!!!
Firing verbal shots.......like a Tommy Gun

"Cricket Wife"....it sure is moody.....I'm assuming Chris wrote it in the past year in "pandemic lockdown"?

I’m intrigued by these reviews. Judging by the lyrics it appears to have some sort of chorus…is there a chorus?

I’ve only listened twice, but it’s more like a classical piece where there are themes that repeat but with different musical interpretations and a variations on a tune.
I don’t think there’s anything I would really describe as a chorus.
It’s interesting!

Sounds very interesting. Can’t wait to hear it! So there is a common theme/tune/melody that is repeated throughout, in different forms. Would you say the tune is memorable? Do you remember it after listening to it? Are Neils vocals sung or spoken word?herts101 wrote: ↑Thu 06 May 2021, 11:15 am I’ve only listened twice, but it’s more like a classical piece where there are themes that repeat but with different musical interpretations and a variations on a tune.
