Listened already a few times to Cricket Wife by now. Have to say that I like the song very much (from the first time I heard it in fact), which is both impressive and intimistic. Thumbs up as well for the marvellous orchestration and production. This piece of art would fit perfect in a big theatre play.

Are there any Paddy McAloon fans here ? It reminds me of Paddy/Prefab Sprout’s I trawl the megahertz.
It is extremely moving, especially for those of us who experienced witnessing a loved one falling into dementia . It’s a beautiful gift they gave us.

My copy of Annually has just arrived in the Czech Republic. Very happy not to get stung with any additional charges.

Still waiting in NYC as well! Discovery arrived on Friday so there’s reason for optimism!

I got one from Ebay. Very interesting read, loved reading about the year 1986. Their comments on the photosession in the Netherlands on 24 january really seems to have affected their performance for TopPop the same day:

So that made me curious about the interview they did for Dutch radio programme Countdown Cafe, later that day. Were they grumpy or not? I couldn't find a recording, but I contacted the interviewer and he kindly sent me the broadcast. Chris is in much better mood. He' s making a lot of jokes. They mention a tour later that year, with lots of video projections and dancers and no musicians on stage. Amazingly, Chris is the talkative one in this interview.
