What's the point of these "bookplate" editions? What makes them more collectible than the usual signed copies?
is is and isnt isnt
They are pointless, but they are limited, specially designed (don't ask me!), handsigned and therefore collectible. I don't think that they are more collectible than the usual signed books.
Now I've got the reissues three times: the signed copies, the limited edition slip case und these two copies with bookplates.
I feel like they couldn't make it to a signing location to physically sign the books, so they simply signed a massive amount of these cards, which were then pasted into the books. Nothing more than a pragmatic solution.
For the spanish members of the forum: a spanish translation of Literally is coming out next June 9th on Contra Editorial. Literalmente, ISBN 9788418282539.
Will they do the same for the sequel? Full exposure for their brand - Los Pet Shop CONTRA Los Estados Unidos.

Qué bien! And where did you get that lovely Introspective bookmark?
Actually, the Chris picture is the back cover of Literalmente (check the bar code in the corner). I guess that removes the possibility of publishing the second book, as I don't think they would use a new design.
I think it comes with the book as a gift.
