Oh, fu*kin' hell! Look at the lyrics of Say It To Me on the OS. It says:

Tell me want you from me

Instead it should be, obviously:

Tell me what you want from me.

That’s the thing about negative energy, about hatred. It can be positive. It throws into relief all the things you know you like. It tells you, by elimination, what you’re about. Sometimes you can only define yourself by what you hate. Hatred becomes an inspiration; it makes you think, “What I’m doing now I totally believe in, and I don’t care what other people say.” Guided by hatred, you don’t have to follow the herd. - Neil Tennant

There's a mistake on Sad Robot World also. I sent an email to the info@beckerbrown.com address from the contact-us page on the site, so hopefully they'll pass it to the appropriate person to fix.

Sad robot world
Machinery is sighing
I thought I heard one crying

Should be:

In a robot world
Machinery is sighing
I thought I heard one crying

There's a mistake in the CD booklet too, but I'm out at the theatre tonight, if no one beats me to it, I will post later.

It's interesting how the same error is repeated, the lyrics really weren't given a good read through in this case!

Greetings,

Sometimes lyrics are baselined (for want of a better term) at the point they are submitted to the publishers, and discrepancies from that baseline can occur during recording. Therefore, sometimes it's not that the lyrics have been transcribed incorrectly, but that the discrepancy between the publisher's baseline and the final recording has not been reconciled.

Retro. :)

Interesting. Yep, I don't think that accounts for Say it to Me though, as the incorrect lyric makes no sense!

There's a website link error. The NME and Daily Mirror links concerning the awards both seem to point to the NME.

I wish someone would sort Chris Heath out. Annually is full of mistakes. "Baseline" (bassline) indeed!

"Chris the Speller" or one of his Wikipedia colleagues thinks either word is OK. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Baseline
I know that doesn't make it correct though, necessarily!
