Paul O’Grady on ITV1 this week. The programme about Kent. You maybe able to download it. It was the last one of the series. Paul was doing a piece about Dr Syn at a church which happened to be where Derek Jarman is buried. He did a little tribute to Derek and when it came to the time of the advert break It’s a sin played. It has been quite a nice series to watch.

Top of the Pops - The Story of 1987
https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0001wds
Available on BBC iPlayer until 11th February
Whilst the Pet Shop Boys don't contribute, the show concludes with the story of the race for Christmas Number One; and Pete Waterman (who still sounds bitter) tells how they hoped Rick Astley would be Number One with the cover of 'When I Fall In Love'; but then EMI re-released the Nat King Cole original to help the Pet Shop Boys. It includes a clip of the PSB performance of Always on my mind, plus comments from Carol Decker of T'Pau who is clearly not a fan!
If you remember 1987 (I was 13) the whole show is worth a watch IMO.

I ran 'Relentless' Music Mail Order in the 90's and early 00's. That seems a lifetime ago, but I'm still a fan.

PSB were featured in a uk show called the nation’s favourite 80’s hits. Each week they feature a year and this week it was 1987. There were “celebrities” talking about them and it was quite good, Some great music and not so great music featured. There was a trailer at the end for next week and they are featured again.
