*Further* Further Listening

#1 Post by G_Goalden » Wed 13 Sep 2017, 2:00 pm

Hi All,

I always thought that I would walk a PSB specialist subject round on Mastermind, but being part of this forum has made me realise that I'm not quite the super fan that I thought I was.

I've recently been enjoying the FL albums and read on here with interest the songs and remixes that weren't included.

This got me thinking - what are people's favourite mixes (official/unofficial) of PSB tracks not included on the FL/Catalogue collection. Personally I've always loved the Rough Mix of You Know Where You Went Wrong.

Which other mixes should I (and others) dig out and add to a must-listen remix playlist?

Cheers / G

The extended version of "This must be the place"...
"It was a dark and stormy night".
"You know what's wrong with your stories? They lack subtlety".
"It was a sort of dark and kind of stormy night".

I absolutely adore I Don't Know What You Want (Morales Reprise): Those piano stabs are epic.

Actually that's quite interesting. Further - Further Listening (1986-2012) would be a nice add on to the end of the further listening series to release some of the other tracks and mixes.

The lost Bobby O-album

There's a batch of demos and dub mixes etc from the Please-era which need a release.

Quite a few concerts over the years.

But which songs/mixes that are available have escaped through the net and forced us to forget about them. How about the Classical Reprise mix of Seriously? thats a gorgeous piece of music.

So Hard and It Must Be Obvious KLF remixes.
Just for the sake of it, make sure you're always frowning. :|
It shows the world that you've got substance and depth.

The first two posts pretty much nail it!

A FL FL disc would be great actually… lots of demos we'd all love to hear still in the vaults I'm sure.
