I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...
Which side is better? There's only one way to find out.....

I have definitely listened to the latter epoch's b-sides far less than those on Alternative. In fact I've barely heard some of them. That's partly because my fandom was at its strongest during that era, but also because I preferred it when b-sides genuinely were the b-side of an a-side. Really...

Ironically for me it was the opposite case. The only New Order song I knew at the time Getting Away With It was released was Blue Monday 1988 and at the time I thought it was rubbish (I was only 10 or 11 at the time I first heard it so you'll have to forgive the poor taste), but after hearing...

Such a great album, this. So underrated. The only songs I don't love are I Want You Now and Love Pains. Twist In My Sobriety is one of the best cover versions of all time. So Sorry I Said and If There Was Love are pure gold.
With all the compilations PSB had, seems like theres singles to promote them. IE Discography had 3, Alternative had Paninro 95, PopArt with Miracles and Flamboyant, Ultimate with Together. Now Format is coming, theres no word I read anywhere of a Single to promote it. Now as for the topic. The...

Definitely no. They are now in the studio and need peace in order to make as good an album as possible for autumn 2012. There would be no point in releasing a single without doing some promotion which would delay the recording and so...whoops...suddenly the new album would be stenciled for spring...

I know its all subjective, but for goodness sake!
If there was Love is in their top 3 songs. It's a match of Being Boring, and a perfect companion piece. Its Magnificent. It IS best suited for Liza, but it's just PERFECT, and defines PSB. It baffles me that people are so clearly loving (or...

Does anyone else also love the short version of The Man Who Has Everything that is the intro to the Discovery tour? Best part of the tour in my opinion.
Taking into account the new sound of the new album could be more american . I would like to ask you a question.

I'd like it to come with a free packet of crisps. The CD booklet gets a coupon you cut out and take to the Off Licence in exchange for a bag of crisps.

Why is Always On My Mind on this list? It is just an edit of a version which we have already voted on, during the Introspective poll.
The fact that it's sitting pretty at the top of the list, with no votes, proves that its' inclusion will just skew the results of this particular poll.
Though, this...
We all know alternative. The B-sides from the alternative album, and with the new release of Format soon, lets take comparison.
Before A1 was the best has some best B-side. But I hear the b-side from what would be Format disc 2, I really am loving them. Like they couldve been singles or better...

Format will be the first PSB product I wont be buying.
I have all the singles, and hence the tracks on Format, and considering all the other BestOf PSB lately, I am just not going to bother. Only bought the last one for the excellent DVD. I did like Together too.

Break for Love is the easy one. And by coincidence, I've been grooving on Relentless tonight after not listening to it for a looong time, enjoying it. KDX 125 really is kind of filler, now that people mention it. (It fits as part of Relentless, but is pretty sorry on its own, alas.)

Greetings,
Should I consider ONLY the 7 inch mix of Resurrectionist when voting?
I did... hence, I'd rather IDGWIAT win, as the 7 inch of the Resurrectionist doesn't quite cut it for me... whereas if it were the extended version, it would have been a much closer voting decision.

Too bad that Between Two Islands got the boot. Out of these last four I only like The Resurrectionist.
I also like SFTFOJesus, but surely you can understand it's a bit different from most PSB material, and certainly has the ability to irritate.
I don't know if it's *that* different. Certainly it is more PSB-like (and better) than I Didn't Get Where I Am Today.

Between Two Islands is by far my favourite of this bunch, but I think the winner will be either I Didn't Get Where I Am Today or The Resurrectionist .
That's a given. My money's on The resurrectionist which a lot of fans seem to love unconditionally. Personally, I think it's good, but not great.

Casting a Shadow is great as a piece of Program Music. I even drove out into the countryside with some friends many years ago to watch a lunar eclipse. With the window open and the stereo to 10 on the country road I boomed the track during the apex. One of my friends who was none to big on the boys...

Hit And Miss is decent enough to fly under the radar in the midst of some sketchy opposition, but when the focus switches from what should be jettisoned, to what should be raised on a pedestal and regarded as the 'best' b-side of this particular era, I'm not sure it will fare so well. Assuming...

In The Night vs Pani vs Do I Have To? should be interesting.
Indeed. Three very, very good songs. It's solid proof of the awe-inspiring brilliance of PSB in the eighties that these three immaculate pieces were all b-sides.
