I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...
Which is better, Elysium or Yes? Feel free to elaborate.
Edit: I was thinking of doing a track-by-track comparison between the two albums but that wouldn't be fair because Elysium has one more track than Yes.
Do you think there will be a third single from Elsyium? If so, what do you think it will be?
Last post
I think there could be. I would suggest Memory of the Future as the best choice.
A Face Like That isn't quite single material (just being the closest thing to a stomper does not make it a good choice). Some people have been suggesting Requiem... on other threads and as brilliant as it is, I don't...
seriously confused as to why was it worth it? is on this list. i'd MUCH rather listen to it than go west. makes a lovely live acoustic number as well . . .
Drico better post soon. The polls are flowing.
The boys are not known for the strongest album endings. It's been said by some that the last three songs finish Elysium very strongly. Is it their best album ending?
Officially released next week. Radio stations not really playing it. BBC ignoring it. Will it be a poor marketing decision from EMI or will most of us be proved wrong when we said no more top 40 singles?

Must be only available from the official site. You didn't see the post right before yours?
Technically not true. A song could be the most popular and the most hated song at the very same time as long as there are more than two songs in the poll.
Now that we have the tracklisting for Elysium, guess what the 2nd single will be. I've omitted Winner and Invisible (for obvious reasons and because a poll only allows ten options). I thought it would be fun to see who's right and what percentage of the forum picked correctly when the 2nd single is...
Maybe they want to do something like that on tour and the videos of the Olympics and Winner are an introduction for the new production.

I saw in some mag Lagerfeld s collection in style Luis VXI and Maria Antonietta and it looks just lovely - I would love to see that on trans on stage during next new TAFE tour
-probably just on huge video screen behind Neil and Chris -that ll do
To start, I'm not sure what Parlo are planning (or not as was originally the case with 'Yes') on 12 vinyl, but would you buy on a normal (single) 12 vinyl if it were available?
Well its probably a 4 to be generous, its bad video but I see there's a message (that try to convey). I allow re-voting so if the video starts to warmup and you wanna change it.

I'm not voting, because I don't intend to watch the video.
It's a decision made on phenomenological grounds. 8)
No need to sour my Pet Shop Boys experience, simply because the quality of their videos have deteriorated.
Retro. :)
  Someone other than me has used the term...
Pet Shop Boys are renowned for making a grand entrance.
What's your favourite first glimpse of them on stage ?
Visually, i will have to go for the Psycological entrance on the Fundy tour where Neil & Chris shake hands. A perfect Partnership.
Musically, More than a dream/Heart on the Pandy tour.

I didn't vote for 1999 simply because the opener was Neil singing For Your Own Good from behind the curtain. But I agree the curtain drop into West End girls was brilliant.
My favorite is actually not on the list. It's the use of The Man Who Has Everything in the video from 1994 leading up to Tonight Is...
For all we know the Elysium version will be different...
Dawson mentioned in an interview that he was busy 'setting up' the first and second singles. But, since OurprogrammerPeteGleadall mixed/mastered all the b-sides, the only set-up I can imagine would be...
Of all the bands I listen to, the boys have to be number 1 at almost never making a song that I dislike. Sometimes songs are boring, or not the best, but I don't hate them. Even the usual crowd unfavorites like Atom Splitting and Je tme don't bother me. At worst, songs can be a bit embarrassing or...

With the exception of Home and dry I hate all of Release ... and with the exception of sexy northerner I hate all the besides
I know, I know, too many polls on this forum these last days. But I want to create this one because I am seeing too many bad reviews about Winner .
I can understand Winner is not the cup of tea of many PSB fans but what I don't understand is how some people can hate so much the song to even think...
Many negative opinions about Winner..Let's change the topic...
We don't know (We are not sure) the name of the second single...

Steffen, I'd like to believe you, but the original 'message from the insider' included 'Down in the woods' as the song's title, so that does cast doubt on the entire contents of the message.
Think harder Ghost! If you have an interview with someone from EMI (and you know the name of the single...
We know the opions of fans about Winner (big diversity of opinions by the way) but this song wants to call the attention of non fans this time. So what's the opinion of non PSB fans arround you (relatives, friends, lovers or neighbours ) when they listen to this song?

One of my colleagues heard it on ken Bruce on Monday.
His exact words it's not very good but I bet you'll still buy it
I've been hearing that line for 17 years!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well yes Indeed but this is a chap who has borrowed a fair chunk of my Psb CDs over the years and is more sympathetic than...
Even though one is uplifting and the other is a downer, Winner and Numb are both saccharine ballads with sporting connections. So which is better, Winner or Numb?

Winner is not a ballad at all. Mid-tempo. Numb was never meant to have a sporting connection.

MCMLXXXIX Tour was ruined by Courtney Pine's Saxophone for me. Not sure why Nightlife was booted out so early, there were some ace new versions of songs in there. Are people voting on sound, quality of the DVD/video released or on personal experience of attending? I've only attended Release and...

I've noticed that I-tunes american version has gotten really better as far as adding their catalog,it wasnt all that long ago when they only had tribute CD's. but for some reason, they just will not add the behaviour CD.
maybe theres some kind of rights issue but come on and add it. I've long since...

No Regrets really was far and away the best song in this round. Good to see it win comfortably.
How do you feel about the new album at this point?
Last post
i'm very excited with the new album. how will the cover be ? what will be the title ? will there be hip hop songs (i'm sure that if neil and chris go in this way, it's something new but it will be absolutely brillant, and knowing that hapiness is an option was not very popular with the fans). They...

It still amazes me that She's madonna did so poorly considering it (in my opinion) the best thing Robbie's been on this millenium. Robbie fans coupled with PSB fans along with a fantastic Kraftwerkesque remix should have equated a nailed on top 3. I blame the negative press for Rudebox basically...

I really dislike the Cicero stuff they did and Jack and Jill party isn't that great either. Fallin is getting the benifit of the doubt for now, Kylie's version is so so but the demo is ace, so it could have been great. As for the Robbie stuff I like that a lot so those tracks will be the ones...
