I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...
It's hard for me to pick a second because even though there's 3 I'd put up front as clear leaders (In The Night, Paninaro, and Do I Have To?), the other four are all about on par.
Any official release, no bootlegs or limited promos.
I like the Disco 1 version (shep and pettibone mix)
One question what is the differnce between Thats my impression (disco mix) and b-side version? I heard them both and they are quite the same, really.

The B & J Rmx for me.
+1
I think many people would answer this poll on autopilot without checking B&J mix which is a shame. It's brilliant.
Many may not know it, as the only place I have seen it released officially is on Mix , the third CD in PopArt.
Which is also sad as Mix is one of the best...

Yes is a very commercial, strong, hook laden pop album. Certainly an album you can play to non-Pet Shop Boys fans and say Listen to this - not bad, eh! It just needed Girls Aloud on backing vocals...
Vulnerable is great and highly underrated. The Spanish guitar lick is one of the genuine Chris moments of genius in an album dominated by its producers. I still can't get over Higgins giving one of the great contemporary songwriters a list of titles from which to write a lyric. Surely, if he really...

I can't believe King of Rome is still up for the chop.
Another meaningless poll perhaps, but I thought this would be interesting. We all use the term classic in slightly different ways. Vote in the poll in whatever way you mean it.
If you only believe there are a few tracks that make classic status, feel free to list them. I'd say they've made around...

Always on My Mind may be a classic, but not the PSB version, nor the Elvis version. Whatever you may think of Willie Nelson's version, it defined country music radio for a good two years.

I had actually never heard the dub until tonight. It's actually quite great. I know Was it worth it?? is not a favorite track, but I wonder if people prefer the 7 inch to the other mixes which are quite good in my opinion?

The 7'' and the Dub mix are equally great, but I had to choose the Dub..
The Personal Jesus sample was a brilliant!
There's also an Enjoy the Silence sample from :36 to around 1:06!

I'm with stupid
And I agree it took the Perfect Immaculate mix to make Integral sound half decent.
Excuses is one of thier best, as is Psychological. And Minimal!
I think part of the PSB success was because of that. Westend Girls, Suburbia, It's A Sin, Always On My Mind included this kind of sounds and I really love them.

Yes... I like when these things are layered into a mix. Not so much when they're out on they're own (i.e. the strange intro to I Made My Excuses..)

Nightlife is undoubtably their lowest point - eve the b-sides only really have Lies and The Ghost of Myself, the others are not bad, but average.

Indeed I could have.
In the end I went in support of The End Of The World, because whilst the arrangement isn't as lush as MOS, it seems more endearing and a little more open-hearted.
Great post. I should probably explain myself too, rather than just being flippant.
I'm not sure I'd describe myself as a lurker, but it seems that according to the box on the left I've managed 20 posts per year since signing up here. You could perhaps argue that's because I have better things to...
