It sounds much better in terms of remastering. Story was just a fast compiled Album without any real mastering. The 10 mix and the other tracks are just fade-Outs, unfortunately.
On the 7 :
R-6097 A-1- etc.. is the standard 3:45 mix
R-6097 A-3- etc is the edited dance mix with backwards ending (as found on NOW!, Spools' Paradise, etc), right?
has anybody come across A-2 ??? presumably there would be a test pressing somewhere of a cut that was subsequently scrapped?

We've spoken to someone very high up at EMI who worked with the PSB at the time who tell us it is NOT official. It may be pressed at EMI but it was never officially ordered/made by them. It was never for the directors or anyone else at EMI.

Please thru Elysium (excluding the Discos) are being reissued on CD in Japan on Jan 29th. The catalogue numbers are a new sequence. No word on any special packaging, and the track list looks like just the original.
Now is a good time to buy (from the US) based on the exchange rate.

They ARE the 2001 remasters. All are in jewel cases apart from Elysium which is in a digipak. I haven't actually broken the seals on any of them. No special specs as far as I can tell.

So pleased when I got this and it had Go West (Mings Gone West) on it. For years I wanted to get a hold of the extended version of Go West as heard on the PopArt DVD.
I just picked up an US copy of Bilingual that I personally never knew existed.
It is the standard album issue, but instead of being issued in 1996 by Atlantic, it was issued in 1996 by Sire Records.

Even if you buy the record you don't own the rights of the music nor the rights of the cover art. That's all.

Seems the same is happening from today for The Pet Shop Boys, with no more Parlophone Catalogue numbers.
