I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...

I am a relatively new Pet Shop Boys convert....

Well thank you all for your heartwarming greetings:)
Yes Corina, like Karadeniz which is Black Sea in English but I hope that I am not a person that gloomy :)

stockholm is however usually on the psb tour list and no better way to see scandanavia and see the psb as well. hopefully they will be here next year when...
Hi,
New to this forum but an old PSB fan!
I bought the 12 of 'West End Girls' the week it hit no. 1 in the NZ charts and have never looked back since, buying every single in whatever format I could get over here (and was happy to get the CD single of 'Winner' in the letter box last week)
I'm...

I am- surprise surprise- a petshopboys fan...and- surprise surprise- I`m german  .
So to all who like to talk about the petshopboys music, especially about used synths, samples, the art of mixing in their songs- I`m your talk-buddy. Yes, I do electronic music myself. No, it`s...

Welcome to the forum Bakerman - I'm sure you'll find people with similar interests on this forum. Cheers Stephen
I'm Katie from Berkshire. Been a big fan of the PSB since West End girls and the passion keeps growing although I'm ashamed to say I have never seen them live (I don't do live gigs much).
Hard to pin down favourite songs but let's try:

The answer is - not many. Keep going and you'll both soon be off the approval list. I believe that PM ability will follow, but if I am honest I am not 100% on that one. If it doesn't then please let us know in the Support section.
Hi, I'm Nervously, name chosen partly because it's one of my favourite songs and partly because I hesitate to shove my oar in on message boards. I'm from the UK, and the first record of theirs I heard was Actually.
But here are my feelings about each of their albums in no more than three words:...

Welcome to the forum Nervously - very informative introduction post there  Cheers, Stephen
I'm living London - I even think I may have partly moved there partly because of the PSB influence growing up in the 80s!
Fave songs.... Hard to pick, but Being Boring of course, This must be the place...., Love comes quickly, Luna Park (fave new-ish one), Kings Cross, and nearly anything...

Welcome - also like your list - do enjoy seeing them at the closing ceremony tomorrow.
I'm very new to this forum and to forums in general, it's not something I've really stumbled upon until now. I've always tried to avoid a pc outside work but since I've sold my soul to Apple I've been drawn into this whole new world.
Anyway, I digress. Consequently, this is the first PSB release...

Welcome, I am new here too and impressed with what I see so far. Waffleon that is a GREAT name to use
Well I do tend to unfortunately :gag: :) Welcome to you too.
Hi! I finally got my account activated today. I chose the username FormerEnfantT (Terrible) because I remembered that when I was in first grade, I behaved very badly, but I decided to change and I became the teachers' favorite student  I also chose this name because, in my opinion, 'The...
I've been a fan of the PSB's since the beginning. Love their music, and their eccentricity. It makes me laugh. Only seen them once many years ago at Wembley Arena, wish I'd seen them when they headlined Latitude. Not the first forum I've ever joined but not had good experiences unfortunately so...
Hi from Germany! :) I'm 39 years old and a fan since West End Girls . I love their unique hi-energy sounds, mixed with orchestral parts, like in It's A Sin or Left To My Own Devices . I play the piano and synth myself, and own some sheet music from the PSB - and it's admirable how the boys can let...

Welcome at a great time for us all to share them :D
Hi, finally I found PSB forum (lol) Was here all the time but I just have never realized of what's about :wall: . But... I'm here now :)
Long time 'lurker' on the forum finally joined in. Liked the sound from EMI West End Girls but only caved in with Actually. Soon bought the back catalogue. PSB were the first artists to introduce me to the value of the single in it's own right, before then had just bought what I liked from the...

Welcome :)
This place will become more and more interesting in the near future (already full of anticipation towards the new album), so you`ll definitely have a good time here!
I'm a new member of this forum from Helsinki, Finland, but I've been a fan of the band for almost twenty years...
I was first drawn to the classics like It's a Sin, and the first PSB album I bought was Very back in 1993.
I'm always looking forward to hearing new material from the guys. 8)
I'm Shyla and I'm 32. I've been aware of PSB since I was a kid. I remember liking What Have I Done To Deserve This? and thinking it was a cool video and song. Became more of a die-hard fan in the past couple of years. I don't think they're even capable of creating a bad song. Hearing PSB always...
I'm obviously a big Pet Shop Boys fan and have had my covers album(s) marvellously reviewed by peeps on here, so I thought I'd say hi. Give a bit of a person to the name, I suppose.
So, hi!
Erm, what else... I've been a big fan of Pet Shop Boys since Very, when I was about 13 and...

Terrific introductory post there. Welcome to the forum.
Hi all Petheads. I've been a PSB fan since 1987 and the best thing I like about them is the potential for someone's favourite song. Where most artists have half a dozen potentials the pets have loads. Could you argue if one person said West End Girls and the next person said Can you forgive her ?...

Yes plenty of snow in Scotland but not quite where I stay.
Hello petheads! my name is glenda, from houston, texas. I've been listening to their music since 2009. west end girls and opportunities were the 1st songs that I listened to on my I-pod. recently I have been listening to more of their songs more often. I hope i get to know you and you getting to...
Hello everyone. Ever wondered what went on with me over the last few years since I last posted on this forum? My life has been a rollercoaster and part of it included having to part with the majority of my most treasured PSB collectables including Introspective clear 3LP, Can you forgive her? blue 7 (3 of them),...

Oh, congratulations on the newborn, Techno! Did he arrive sealed?
Drico.
No seal on the baby I'm afraid. He came out all covered in lady-juices so the doctors had to rub it off him with a towel.
I'm a huge Pet Shop Boys fan, since around the time of Domino Dancing.
Unfortunately they've never had a number1 since I became a fan, so it's probably my fault!
I've seen them live 3 time's, at the Savoy was my favorite.
To choose my favorite song is impossible!
Watched the Ballet last night it...
Ok, no, I'm not going to say Howdy! as it's too cliche. What I will say is this....Hello! I've been a long time lurker on these boards and have finally decided that it was time to join.
I've been a fan of the PSB since West End Girls, though I didn't start collecting their stuff until around...

I am sure you will enjoy being part of the forum rather than a long time lurker - its fun.
I'm 27, female and live in New Jersey, USA. I fell in love with PSB in January, even though I knew of them before. Hearing Opportunities on the radio made me want to hear more from them, so I did and fell in love with the album Ultimate . Six months later, I have listened to everything and I love...

Yes I too fell in love with them all of a sudden after watching an early concert video although I already had two albums and some taped material from the radio.
Now your life has changed - I do hope you get the opportunity to see them in the US.

Is the abovw photo for real or photoshopped? I've been a PSB fan since 1988 and I've not seen it before!
I was also very intrigued by this picture which is similar to the cover of the Catalogue but with a cowboy style hat and different wording on the sticker?
I am like many fans where i follow the group but don't actively contribute in forum discussions. While i do follow the intersting threads i'm passive in adding my two bits. i am not passive in collecting . I'm in my 40's and started collecting back in the late 80s. collecting was much different...
Helloo
I'm new here, Well I read alot on here but took me ages to post anything, You all know so much about the pet shop boys! I have only been a fan for about 2 years now and love them, I'm a big fan of the 80s, I missed them myself as I'm 25, was only 2 months old when west end girls came out lol...
I'm based in Suffolk, near Ipswich. I'm not a dedicated PSB fan, but have always enjoyed their music, especially the early years. I am having a clear out of vinyl and CDs and will be offering some stuff for sale - mostly 80s new wave and synth.
It turns out my prize possession (which I forgot...
Just redicovering Pet Shop Boys as a result of listening to a lot of classic 80s house lately and remembering how much I loved and still love Introspective . I'm not really a proper full-on fan - I somewhat lost interest after Bilingual ... and besides, I actually like The Sound of the Atom...

Wait, there's *another* person who likes TSOTAS? OMG.
I'm from Australia. And a Pet Shop Boys fan. Love their stuff. But a relatively new fan. I kind of stumbled upon it by pure chance. I'll explain.
I was last year around the middle of the year, I forget exactly when, was watching late night TV. Well more like 3am TV. And I was watching Rage....

Hey, sorry I'm a bit late but fellow Aussie fan here..welcome to the Community!
I watch Rage pretty regularly and I believe they only played Did you see me coming? once, on the week it was released. So it's positively amazing that someone even noticed it, and even more so that it caused someone to become a fan!...
Hi guys,
I'm a new one here... I've been fan of PSB for years... but got addicted from last year when I saw them live on Pandemonium tour... Heavily addicted ever since... 8)
Hope to make some new friends here... Cheers!
Hello, I'm Craig from Falkirk in Scotland. I have been a PSB fan since It's a Sin. It's still my favourite song. I've seen them live around 20 times. Didn't know about this forum until I bumped into a fellow Scottish fan at Blackpool who told me about it. Thought it was about time I joined up!
Hello, my name is Stefan and i come from Germany. I'm a fan since 1987 and i'm producing electronic music by myself with little success  Hope get in contact with lots of people :D
I meant to introduce myself to the forum, a pleasure to greet the room. It is my hope that I can share some interesting things about the Pet Shop Boys with this forum and hopefully the rest of the members will do the same.
Thank you.
My name is Richard I'm 31 years old and been a PSB fan since West End Girls was released.
My favourite PSB song is It's a Sin.
I went to the PSB live show in Blackpool the other day which I enjoyed, I may have seen a few of you there I'm only 4ft 11 so people may remember me :)
Thought I would drop in and say hello to everyone. Been a huge Pet Shop Boys fan since West End Girls when I was 9 years old. Watching the Glastonbury set on BBC3 (just how good were they?!) got me to dig out their albums again and finally buy A Life In Pop on DVD.
Off to see them at...
