I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...
With the tour fast approaching, people will be keen to share their experiences and discuss any new snippets of information. I’m sure there’ll be forum members that don’t want to see or hear “spoilers”. Let’s use this space so people can have the choice.

One bad thing: the sound in the venue was not good. The bass was too loud and so other parts of the music were drowned in the bass sounds and I couldn't hear Neil at some points. This might be a nod to the lyrics of Yesterday When I Was Mad: It doesn't really matter cause the music is so loud ....
I am visiting London next week and would like to see the famous electronic show where Neil and Chris met up in 1981. If it still does exists and some people knows where it's situated, I would like to know. Thanks x

1992. The Love album is thirty years old this week. Carter were described as “The Indie Pet Shop Boys” and indeed covered “Rent” as a B-Side to their “Rubbish” single

Pet Shop Boys recently remixed, “Insanely Alive”, a song by artist Wolfgang Tillmans from his recent album, Moon in Earthlight”. A 12-inch single which includes the PSB Maxi Mix and the PSB Radio Edit will be released on May 20th and is now available for pre-order. More...
So there is that Soft Cell interview in Electronic Sound magazine (issue 86, march? 2022) with minor PSB references here and there, and announces 'Happiness Not Included' upcoming album is due for release by BMG in the spring, along with a new version of 'Purple Zone' by Soft Cell and PSB. I just came across this interesting YouTube comment:
I used to live next door to Chris in London he had an amazing apartment with a glass bridge in his bedroom which took him to his roof garden the roof opened up with the press of a button...really smart place it was years ago.
Watching the documentary about Ennio Morricone called Ennio
not a word on their collaboration but the Boys worked with him on It Couldnt Happen Here
basically Ennio's manager gave them a tape of an unreleased track the boys changed to their needs but kept the original chorus, after years it was...

I must admit, this is all new to me. Seems that i overlooked it somehow. So thanks a lot for heads up.
Really fun to see. Looks like these girls wanted something more with PSB than just watching them live, playing music. The host is quite touching with Neil and Chris.

Nothing about this looked right, other than the fact that it was on a fair dinkum Aussie website. They'd never do something like this as they have too much respect for the original product.
The Pets were big users of the Emulator II and arturia have just released a soft synth version of it. Some lovely person has uploaded all the original sample files here ->

I purchassed the pack from Cagdas
He sent me a link to make payment using Payoneer and within minutes, I had the download link sent to me.
Pack includes Emulator II emux files and wav files of all the sounds.
Highly recommend we support him so he will make more packs.
Just discovered how the 10'' mix of It's alright ends with the birds on the seaside -sound, the same sound as the beginning of Go West (album version). So those two songs segues perfectly into eachother... a nice pair.
Two great songs about love, freedom and peace and the power of music.
In light of recent government advice in relation to the ongoing situation and threat of COVID-19 globally, Pet Shop Boys’ Dreamworld tour can no longer commence as planned in May 2020 and the dates are being rescheduled. The European leg of the tour was...

None of them. It wouldn't matter if The Beatles had reformed especially to do it. It's not a song contest, its a political popularity vote, and the UK has shot itself in the foot on that score. Nil points.
Either that or the UK entries have been awful and bland. This year's song is quite...
With Duran Duran and especially Eurythmics being inducted into the Rock n roll Hall of Fame do you think there's any chance PSB will get inducted in the future?
I mean, out of Pat Benatar, Eurythmics, Duran Duran, Carly Simon, Lionel Richie and Dolly Parton how many are Rock n Roll?

sorry duplicate post.
i'm not sure if there is an advantage to american bands,
compared to European and UK ones.
although there might be more 'rock and roll' types that fit
the categories.
This year’s Annually is slim pickings in terms of new news. There’s nothing about new album plans, or any new writing or recording, or any hints at what Dreamworld might be like. It seems they’ve genuinely been pretty quiet. Here are a few things I picked out:
While Pet Shop Boys’ musical influences are well documented, film has also played a key role in shaping their output over the years. Neil particularly is a film fan with a large personal collection.
Here is a list of 68 movies, each with a direct link to Pet Shop Boys, either as a documented...

Some of my all-time favourite Pet Shop Boys’ songs don’t seem to quite get the same level of love and attention that others do, either on here or from Neil and Chris themselves. You may well feel the same about some of yours. I thought I’d start a thread where we could call out some of our lesser...

With The Pop Kids deep dub upon us, along with the pending full story , I started thinking about how many PSB songs have versions with different or additional lyrics from the original version. Off the top of my head, we have:

- Opportunities (original versus 7 )

The I just thought I'd mention it -bit on the Extended Mix of DJ Culture.
I just heard this between 4:40 and 4:50. Nice!
I was sure there was already a topic about seeing/hearing PSB in unusual places as I wasn't sure this deserved its own thread but I couldn't find anything!
I happened to be at an exhibition opening in Prague last night for Czech documentarian photographer Jaroslav Pulicar which is showcasing some...
Whatever version is called on Disco 1 is the one I like the most, the 95 is closer but due to being a new release back then, after that I always come back to Disco 1 version
What are your PSB's and related albums you were never really bothered with before lockdown but love now? Mine are Hot Spot (that was about the time everything just started to happen) and Liza Minnelli's Results. :D

Liked your cover of Two Divided By Zero. Quite ethereal - Ryuichi Sakamoto vibes.

Johnny’s Record Store Day release is a Vince Clarke Remix of Power and Soul. Is this Johnny’s payback for the Boys getting Bernard Butler to play on Burning the Heather

I was curious about this. Spotify shows the number of plays for each song.
So I've added them up for each album (excluding bonus tracks) and compared the numbers.
Here it is in order from highest streams to lowest:
Today I discovered an hd remaster of Hallo spaceboy was finally uploaded to YouTube on the Bowie channel, so I thought Yeah, today's a good day for Disco 4 . Well, it isn't available on YouTube music. What about other streaming services like Spotify, Amazon music or Apple music?

I finally got my hands on a pretty much mint copy of the LP version of Disco 4.
I loathe streaming, and I guess if I could be bothered to sign up for one, I would only use it as suggestion for discovering new or old music. But there is no way in hell I would ever pay to rent anything. Ever....
The new edition of Annually might give us more clues, but we’re at what would usually be a point of inflection in the PSB journey. Roughly every 10 years Pet Shop Boys rip up their template and redefine what PSB can be. Behaviour, Release and Elysium each saw them move into more reflective mood,...

This is a bit of a depressing thread. I certainly hope we've not heard the last of PSB.
I am only aware of this slightly country song that Neil did with Hidden Cameras. Has PSB ever done anything country before? Probably a bit too old to start now, but I would have gladly swapped a country album for Release or Nightlife.

I'm a few drinks deep, but this song came up from me searching 'scatman world' and playing a generated playlist.
Anyway, yes it's not a perfect song. Too many drum snares, poor production, amateur and not up to standards.
But as a throw away Disco 5 track, I'd say it's okay.

Those who live in London won’t find this a surprise, but I just read this article in the “Wall Street Journal” about how King’s Cross has transformed from a seedy red light district into a fashionable high-rent neighborhood. “Actually” was indeed long ago:
