In the last days I recognise some emails about Tickets for PSB@ROH which I THINK could be a money trap. After we have to hold this email open for user requests and alerts via the contact link (at the...
I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...

Thank you for the link leesmapman. I was already aware of them and found the last one does not include the first song they played (the Blur song Girls and Boys (PSB Remix)). For some reason it has been omitted from the youtube recording hence why I asked if anyone has their own recording.
This is the one I saw on Warner Canada store - which looks like the release date got pushed back, as I think it was originally the same as the blue vinyl release date. It shows as pre-order released tomorrow now.
However nothing there indicates it's a gatefold and after the...
I think that they have so many underrated songs to choose from the three which comes to my mind immediately are I'm Not Scared, You only tell me you love me when're drunk and The Sodom and Gomorrah show. All three songs are really really good and one of the best less known by them.

Discoteca- the same detached, loneliness and nostalgia oozing drama they have done so well in Please, Actually and Introspective.
I don't speak in anger, though the chances that I've let
Pass me by and now regret
I can't forget, they're haunting me
Like a score of unpaid debts
- In The Night
- Was That What It Was?
- I Get Excited (You Get Excited Too)
- Bet She's Not Your Girlfriend
- Shameless
- Betrayed
- After The Event
- Bright Young Things
- The Resurrectionist
- We're The Pet Shop Boys
Obs: I'm not counting Paninaro as it was a single in...

Very hard to choose only 10 !
Here are my absolute favourites:
Miserablism
Shameless
In his imagination
Betrayed
Delusions of grandeur
I didn't get where I am today
Sail away
An open mind
Glad all over

Can anyone remember which single had a U-mix version - basically four stems that allowed you to sort of mix the track on a computer yourself? Probably Windows 95 days. And did anyone have a go?

There were some nice U-Myx songs for many artists at that time. Just a few months ago I was on a quest to compile many of them to play mixing the stems. Most of them still work fine on their corresponding U-myx software on moden computers, but sadly MINIMAL plays with interruptions, like if it were...

Thanks, wise to create a new thread for the Q&A.
I'm hoping we get some interesting insights about ICCH.
We'll see.
For the sake of conversation, who's going? To the screenings or double screening.
I would if I could but I'm not in the UK.
Thanks. Yes, felt like it needed a thread as was being...
've tried to solve this riddle for some years now but I've quite not succeeded yet.
The PSB collaboration with Bobby O is fairly straightforward by now but there's a mix of the original version of One more chance which credits Tess as the remixer. Tess is also credited for a ZYX-records megamix....

Fancy (under the pseudonym Ringo) also covered Divine's Shoot Your Shot which was written by Bobby O.
I guess they just knew each other and were probably friends.
I see Periodic Table of Synthpop is (cheekily) offering up Nonetheless Instrumentals for download - official versions reserved for record company use, rather than AI recreations.

I got bored waiting for the Blu-ray so created my own version combinig the Finnish TV broadcast of Copenhagen, Isle of Wight (to add in Dancing Star, Loneliness and Bohemia), Glastonbury (so it includes Losing My Mind after Paninaro), and Preston (to get the newer Go West background video). I even...
As I said I remember Neil saying he liked 'Stranger in Moscow' by Michael Jackson and I think this is the best song to make a cover version nowadays talking about PSB and I'm going to tell you why.
The song talks about a feeling of pain inside a man who feels like 'Stranger in Moscow' but the...

It's a very heartfelt song, and Neil's part is great. On a personal level I dont do well with this style of spoken word lyric. Could see Neil putting a better spin on the verses .
Looks like both Neil and Chris got butterflies named after them: Liptena chrislowei and Liptena neiltennanti. Also the album Introspective and the song Minimal got a butterfly tribute.

No worries - I got similar email - actually I got two, so not sure why - maybe I'll get refunded twice?!
I've just been refunded a second time. Possibly because they've given an automatic refund, and I emailed them a few weeks ago.
In typical PSB style. One refund from Neil. Another from...
In Japan, next June, 11 PSB albums will be reissued for the special Forever Young 2025 series.
From Please to Elysium, with special limited editions including the megajackets , i.e. the 24x24 cm cardboard reproduction of the covers.

I got an HMV Japan email today touting these re-release albums still for Aug 1. Didn't see anything about sleeves or mega jackets online when I linked to them but maybe Google translate was being weird and obtuse.
I wanted to check something on Discogs about Music For Boys (Chris Lowe Remix) when I got Something went wrong in this section of the page. ...again... Just as I wanted to refresh the page I noticed: Pet Shop Boys... In Groups: 1000 UK Artists, and that made me curious. If there really are 1000...

Thanks for the link!!! Will download it asap. The survivors always gets me in tears.
Does anyone know what this remix is? I’ve not heard it before as it’s a bit different to the original Bobby O version 7” and 12”. It’s released by ZYX so I’m assuming it’s one of those dodgy unofficial remixes, ala Hurricane Mixes??

I love him as a guilty pleasure.
But those PSB covers (... of covers, Go West / Always on my Mind) are awful.
Considering how great the PSB music is, I am surprised that there is so few officially released (and easily accessible) instrumental versions of their songs.
Even what does exist is hard to get. Yes was only on that vinyl set and Nonetheless was not even officially released at all.

Oh my, the full documentary is 1 and a half hour, the Arte edit is half that time.
Probably the same version of it that was shown on Irish tv a few weeks ago, that was an hour including ad breaks.
I think I'm in love... this has been on repeat all afternoon. Yes, it's slight, inconsequential, b-side material. But dear God, is it an off-kilter, highly unusual earworm crying out for a much longer remix.
What is said in the background at 2:32, anyone make it out? Big Boy ? Sounds like Chris?

Greetings,
I suspect they did the original demo with Andrew Dawson, knew it wasn't quite there yet, and put it back on the shelf.
