Please take extreme care on emails from administration @ petshopboys-forum .com !!!!!!!!!!!
In the last days I recognise some emails about Tickets for PSB@ROH which I THINK could be a money trap. After we have to hold this email open for user requests and alerts via the contact link (at the...
I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...

So if you have a question for them, email it to info@beckerbrown.com with Annually letters in the subject line by next Monday, 7th...

Ok then, since we're into ranking, and since I can't bring myself to do it, I asked Co-pilot to do it for me. It said, I'd be happy to help! Could you please list your favorite Pet shop boys albums so I can rank them for you? Well, I wasn't about to do that, so I extracted myself from the situation...
Introduction.
Several West End Girls remixes produced by Boby O after 1984 contain lyrics that are not from the original 1984 West End Girls:
Looking left, turning right, 'Cause money's short and time is tight / If we don't find the right solution, Will there be a revolution?
For example, this...

They liked one of those lines so much they cut and pasted it from West End girls to Tonight is forever.
Just seen a trailer for this and it had the 12”mix of Always On My Mind featured heavily. I wonder if this is the tv programme that Angela spoke about last year?

Just logged on to the forum because just had a weird dream. Heard these lyrics done live…

Hi, I know there are some acetates on Discogs but is there a website with details of Pet Shop Boys/PSB related acetates that feature unreleased mixes/versions? I know the odd one pops up on eBay too but just wondering if any PSB superfan has a site or page that documents such acetates?

Greetings,
2. … and equally unsurprisingly, Miserere secured the biggest number of 23s with 16 – 69% of us think it’s the worst song (or “song”) of the era. Consensus!
I don't understand this one at all, it's a terrific track. But then again, the overall quality of the era is so high....
Hope you all are doing well.
Encouraged by your feedback from my Drunk remix I thought I'd share this new one.
Any feedback is always appreciated, thanks!

Excellent work again. You have such an ear for melody, and draw something different out of the music while maintaining the spirit of the original.
Thank you so much for those very kind words, appreciate it! :D
An expanded edition of Nonetheless is clear and the fifth single too but we don't know anything about it. The release for the expanded edition is in November but is there something waiting for December?, a single?, an EP?. Maybe the answer is no . But bear in mind they have been written many songs...

I got mine in Melbourne too just before Xmas !
Great! Hope you enjoyed them. :D
Still no sign of them here in California. Time to get medieval on the US store’s @$$.
How many other US fans are in the same boat (and how many already cancelled and reordered from the UK store)?
I’m sure Neil and Chris haven’t yet even begun thinking about their next album, but I’m clearly already winding down for Christmas and I can’t help wondering where they’ll turn next. We know for sure that there’s no Electric-style fast-follower album ready to go - Neil ruled out as much at the...

I'd love to hear them work with Daniel Avery. His dark yet joyous productions would be a wonderful contrast to the Boys melodies.
Recently I've re-discovered a pile (a cache?) of old audio cassettes in a box in my loft. I've been going through and digitising them, and I'm now planning on uploading them to Mixcloud, so I can share them here, and via our In Depth podcast socials. Some stuff you'll have heard before - and some...

Has anyone got a recording of when Chris Lowe stood in for Pete Tong? Perhaps I imagined it...
I think from this post we need Agent Doris to get digitising as his New Year’s resolution.

I recently bought the Streets/Seriously CD single for a couple of quid because I'd never heard the classical reprise and no longer had the extended mix of the latter track anywhere. But what's most interested me about it is the version of Streets that plays as track 1. It's not labelled as a...

As for So Hard, the Extended Dance Mix is the only one I ever listen to, the harder snares being brought forward in the mix and the absolutely gorgeous breakdown in the middle where it gradually goes to just the wobbly warm baseline before building up again.
Ok... second time lucky. Quiz republished at link below.

It’s a puzzle, not a quiz. A fiendishly difficult puzzle. Also you’ve missed some of the vowels from the album titles in Q5 (Actually and Introspective both need their initial letters adding) which tips that question from fiendish to literally impossible if your working is based on the surrounding...
I think I'm in love... this has been on repeat all afternoon. Yes, it's slight, inconsequential, b-side material. But dear God, is it an off-kilter, highly unusual earworm crying out for a much longer remix.
What is said in the background at 2:32, anyone make it out? Big Boy ? Sounds like Chris?

Nah, DvW would have been in the can by the time CAHEB was released. I think it’s just a nice little nod from the universe. :)
Quite entertaining to see Elon being attacked by half the maga crowd for wanting to source cheap labour internationally. Trumps presidency looking distracted and bitter before it even starts.
I've long been perplexed by people awarding points out of 10 for Pet Shop Boys songs and albums. I've never understood why people needed 11 rating levels to make a definitive judgment of a track. Even more weird to me are those fractional ratings, say 7.2 out of 10. Can people really break down...

It’s all a snapshot in time that could look very different tomorrow; however, at this moment…
Considering how great the PSB music is, I am surprised that there is so few officially released (and easily accessible) instrumental versions of their songs.
Even what does exist is hard to get. Yes was only on that vinyl set and Nonetheless was not even officially released at all.

Hmmm, I did not recall Dreaming Of The Queen being out in instrumental or being leaked. Young Offender was as was I Wouldn't Normally Do This King of Thing have leaked from Very.
I think hearing Very in instrumental format would be great.

I've got a question for those of you lucky enough to remember Introspective being released. It's simple enough - the album is now pretty iconic, with some of their best known songs, a spirit of experimentation that they never really matched, and that fantastic sleeve. But I can...

Loved Left to my own devices and was working and my copy the 12 version with belly band, still got the album and band btw were purchased from Our Price in Swansea. We have today received the sad news that Jack Bond, the director of our feature film, “It Couldn’t Happen Here” and the videos for “Always on my mind” and “Heart”, died yesterday. Jack had a distinguished career making both feature films and documentaries. He supervised the Blu-ray re-release of...

I did post about this three days ago in your James Bond thread
Nonetheless, the extent to which they’d been exploited was not only apparent to the band – “when we saw the royalty statements and realised that we’d been taken for one big ride” – but by their pop music peers too. “Bronski Beat went around throwing scorn on us for signing...

I always saw PSB as FGTH part two, but with a slightly better selection of songs( their 1986-88 output).
Frankie were one of the better bands from the 1981-84 era of New Pop, and I think they were much better than the likes of Tears for Fears or the god awful Soft Cell.
Here’s a playlist project I’ve completed just in time for the season:
Greetings , a Pet Shop Boys Christmas album.

It's interesting to see so many different takes on the Nonetheless era tracks. Especially the B-sides.
Though You did nothing for me. I kept trying to like it. But I just could not get into it.
I loved The dark end of the street and Everyone Will Dance. Some nice work by Chris on these tracks.
For me, it was a surprise to see Aaron Taylor-Johnson giving an European MTV's Award to PSB. I thought it was going to be Olly Allexander who was also there the one chosen to give the Award but surprisingly it didn't happen. In some way, I think Aaron was chosen to promote himself because looks...

Julian Ruiz is one of the most famous producers from Spain and also known because of his famous radio show Plásticos y Decibelios . He have wrote many books about music and he is also known because he has a good relationship with many global artists and also with PSB.
I’m new here, and happy Christmas in advance( for anyone who isn’t a miserable Scrooge lol).
Does the PSB song Always on my Mind remind you of the festive season? I will always remember listening to it during December 1987. It was a warm sunny Christmas Day that year.
There's a lot of AI slop on Facebook at the moment in terms of long, verbose and completely erroneous descriptions of the history of popular musical acts. Pure engagement farming.
Does anyone know what this remix is? I’ve not heard it before as it’s a bit different to the original Bobby O version 7” and 12”. It’s released by ZYX so I’m assuming it’s one of those dodgy unofficial remixes, ala Hurricane Mixes??

The connection between him and Bobby O is something I've long wondered about. Fancy's big hit Slice Me Nice is so similar to Passion and Helpless by the Flirts.

Hats off to the forumites yet again, sterling work as always. I take my hat off to you. Or should that be shoes....
Was it in Literally or vs America that Chris said he 'hated' shoes? I know he meant dress shoes, as opposed to trainers, but it made me laugh.
This is one of their best moves.
I mean, this might be the year of their best move for a long time.
(And the worst one too, the tea cups dreadful incident)
Look at the reaction videos. Kids seem to be pretty moved by the song (Lots of Bruh! 's)
Great track! Pet shop boys!
Following on from a comment in a post last week I thought it might be interesting to find out people's favourite artwork.
