Please take extreme care on emails from administration @ petshopboys-forum .com !!!!!!!!!!!
In the last days I recognise some emails about Tickets for PSB@ROH which I THINK could be a money trap. After we have to hold this email open for user requests and alerts via the contact link (at the...

Thanks for the heads-up! It’s crucial to be cautious with emails from admin@psb-forum.com, especially if they involve ticket offers. Always use official contact links for issues and avoid replying to suspicious emails.
I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...
Please post times, dates, channels, etc here so forum users don't miss out.
Please try not to drift into conversation in this thread as key posts may get missed.

I'd love to buy a Feel CD but I have a problem with paying $30 to ship a single CD from the UK store. I wouldn't feel so bad if there was something else to get with it but I've bought just about everything I care to buy from there for now.
Were they EVER for sale in the US store? It's said Sold...
This thread is for daily discussion of a Pet Shop Boys track, selected in chronological order, from studio albums starting with Please – including Further Listening – to the new album. The idea is to allow a 24-hour period of discussion for each track – then we move on to the next one. The first 11...

It's the ooh-ooh-ooh-ooh-oohs and aah-aah-aah-aahs for me. Hooky as heck. Love the strings at the end too.
Writing from the perspective of a Communist-era composer having a creative crisis... seriously, who else does this? And makes it work??
« We are starting work early this year on the 2025 edition of Annually , which, as always, will include a selection of your letters answered by Chris and Neil.
So if you have a question for them, email it to info@beckerbrown.com with Annually letters in the subject line by next Monday, 7th...

Only the silly ones get a look in!
This is true. I asked them what animal they would choose to be if they had a spell cast on them
We know PSB have 4 song that reached #1 in UK but maybe we don't know anything about some songs from PSB that didn't get the top of the charts in UK but they got the top in other countries.
For example, did you know Suburbia was #1 in Poland and Belgium or What have I done to deserve this? in...

Wedding in Berlin: Number one on the “Most Controversial Among Fans” list. x
I was listening to my iPod earlier & had it on random (as you do etc). Then this came on & I've not heard it for a while, but I have to say it's really good! It's a shame it's never had a 'proper' release, just like their remixes of Kids by MGMT, which were also quite good IIRC.
I don't know the...

The Hidden Cameras have their own version of The dark end of the street. Might be where PSB first heard it.
When Pet Shop Boys reissued their first six albums in 2001, they revealed five “rough rules” they’d given themselves in order to determine what they would (and wouldn’t) include on the accompanying Further Listening discs. These were:
1. The tracks would have to be what they considered to be...

In the FL booklet they say they’ve never recorded Bounce properly, so again maybe they will come back to it.
On the other hand, Neil refers to YouTube when it come to unreleased material. (As much as I'd love for Bounce to see the light of day. ;) )
Just curious, I know we all have diverse music tastes on here and this topic is highly subjective. However, in your opinion, what album do you own or listen to that is as far removed from Pet Shop Boys music as it is possible to be within your own specific taste.
I’d say for me, I have Dookie by...

The Music of Bollywood legends Shankar & Jaiksihan. Film music composers of the 50's and 60's. Their music had strong melody. Shankar-Jaikishan were a duk who composed for 121 Bollywood films between 1949-1971.
The Beatles are also my favourites, yet so different to PSB but also similar.
I thought this couuld have been Schlager for Christmas time but the version of Chris is part of Feel , so maybe it's not going to happen. Anyway, I think the time works for a Christmas release. Why am I dancing? works like a song for Christmas,...

Their tweet said Feel is their fourth single this year . Will there be a fifth? That's not quite the same as the fourth one from Nonetheless . So the hint is ambiguous. It may well mean a fifth single that isn't from the album proper...

here's a megamix... came out pretty good..
Thanks. Enjoyed that. Lots of instrumentation removed as well as the vocals though. Maybe one day we’ll get the proper instrumentals.
I was just listening Twenty something and came up with this question since it happens to me right after the last verse.
I always get goosebumps because I can't process how beautiful is that bit. (From 3:30 to 3:41 on the album version)
But there are other examples:

So as everyone already knows they've had a song in Saltburn and All Of Us Strangers. I was watching the TV show Industry and Opportunities was played at the end of season 3 episode one. They were also in the Netflix show The Decameron in episode 3 with What Have I Done To Deserve This?

I think I would take exception with They did the most amazing headline set on one of the smaller stages there. The Other Stage is still a pretty big deal isn't it?
Queen are on the list. That’s a forgone conclusion unfortunately then as every music illiterate knucklehead votes for them. Still my five votes went to PSB, New Order, Depeche, Manics and Beautiful South.

I love polls and list. I try to ignore the fact it’s reductive, commercially driven, and compartmentalised; Instead, it’s a chance to discover what I’m possibly missing out on. I'm a huge Pet Shop Boys fan since I was 4 years old and I wanted to share something special with you.

I’ve been listening to the Pet Shop Boys since I was 4 years old. I have all their albums and singles on vinyl, CD, and cassette. I grew up with their music, which is the soundtrack of my life. That’s why my ear knows those sounds so well— their music feels like 'home' to my ears.
Didn't find a specific topic dedicated to Bullet for Narcissus.

A series of albums of extended and/or essential remixes would do well. Could even just stick to the 6 tracks per a CD... 3x12 format.
That would also be a nice Disco 5: a one or even 2CD set with the best remixes that so far have only released on vinyl. Not for the completist, but would make a...

Received the Smash lenticular this week and have it housed with my Smash vinyl box set. Easy to see the intention of it being attached to the box lid, similar to Alternative's box.
Wonder why it never happened? 🤔
I'd definitely encourage anyone with the box set to go the extra mile and order the...

Oh don't get me wrong, I also don't mean to say that everything should be played live all the time. But in FGTH's case, their first...

Some good ideas about concerts and it wouldn’t do any harm by emailing Angela.info@beckerbrown.com
I’ve emailed several times with suggestions, a few times about reissuing old tour t-shirts without a reply and I wonder if after reading the email it gets as far as Chris and Neil.
Chris Lowe despite his shyness, managed to sh/ine on stage. It's worth considering hoow his personality influenced the the band's dynamics..Perhaps this balance between introversion and extroversion is what creates their unique style :) ?
Just picked up the 2013 expanded version of Electronic's debut album. The 2-CD collection comes with a long text about the birth of Electronic and the band's first years.

We have enough b-sides now for a third collection and I've been working on ideas for some time. The problem with a third collection is that at the point we left Format, there is a load of cover versions which I cannot see them front-loading a new album with. They have said that the 7 of Fugitive...

Hello and welcome! Don't pay attention to the negativity. It's amazing that PSB (and this site) are still attracting new fans - like you I was 14 or 15 when I joined the forum (back in the Aimoo days) and I'm still here aged 36! How did you get into PSB?
Hey hey guys!!!
This is my latest unboxing.

It's not an unboxing strictly since most of the stuff was already unboxed. The thing is I can't help opening stuff that comes around as soon as I get it. And on top of it, this time Nonetheless versions arrived at many...
I just got to think about it since I was reading some posts on the collectors discussion forum about the yes box.

I am not talking about now, as now there is a market for collections like ours. But the market for let’s say a Roy Orbison, Cliff Richard or even Dusty Springfield collection will be a lot smaller at the moment than they once were. That’s what the PSB will be in 20-30 years.
I haven't seen this film yet but PSB are on the soundtrack like for Saltburn.

I become progressively more disappointed by New Order and more impressed by Peter Hook and the Light. He's got a class act going on there. He's very much a salesman but he also keeps the fans happy.

I mean… in general, in the west, what does a young gay man have to protest that’s unique to his sexuality? The 70-90s are where it’s at.
The fact you have to ask this is sad. Times are better for gay people in the UK, but there is still queer bashing and rampant transphobia.
Just looking at album covers and noticed, more often than not, that Chris is on the left and Neil on the right of the photo.
