Please take extreme care on emails from administration @ petshopboys-forum .com !!!!!!!!!!!
In the last days I recognise some emails about Tickets for PSB@ROH which I THINK could be a money trap. After we have to hold this email open for user requests and alerts via the contact link (at the...
I know yesterday (13th March) was the first time a new PSB track had been played in ages, but (as per the long standing forum rules) in future all public requests for copies of any new track, PSB or otherwise, will be deleted and/or threads containing requests closed. We will officially...
There are lots of PSB Vids (Fan vids or otherwise) on Youtube..
Thought there could be a unified thread of all the links :)
Let me start off with this one..
Mini-Pet Shop Boys Go West
Very cute (and the miming is perfect! Even Sylvia-Mason James'!! ) but are they the Future PSB?? :o

I did not want to open a new topic for this so I am posting it here.
Thanks for sharing these but why NOT start a new topic? You'd be totally justified in doing so! And someone did recently ask about Neil's Smash Hitstory so it wouldn't even be out of place in that thread. But we are starting to...
So Scissor Sisters had guest Jessie Ware in Glasgow and Olly Alexander in Cardiff.... the press for London 02 (this Friday) says another special guest..... anyone got any intel on if it could be Neil??
''I hope you don't mind if I go on at some length about this one. This gentle midtempo song evolved from a number that the Boys had previously been working on called How Lucky I Am. It's written from the viewpoint of an imaginary 18-year-old boy who goes to a rock concert, meets the male star...

Nineteen years! And there was me thinking I was getting a new taster for your book!
But srsly, how will the book reviews compare to what's already on your website of many delights?
My books will be like a condensed version of my website, zeroing in on...
I thought PSB had said that Chris came up with the idea of covering Dark end of the street, only to notice that Neil’s friend Joel Gibb did the same song in 2016….coincidence?
Last post
It's an Annually, the decision came from viewing a poster.
The final new song is a cover of The dark end of the street , a song written in 1966 by songwriters Dan Penn and Chips Moman, and first recorded by the southern soul singer James Carr. Chris discovered it when watching a documentary about...
Pet Shop Boys are happy to announce that “Musik” is set to return to Wilton’s Music Hall, London from 14th — 25th October 2025! With a script by Jonathan Harvey and featuring six original PSB songs, “Musik” is the critically acclaimed one-woman cabaret starring Frances Barber as Billie Trix — a...

I missed this show last time because I don't like the character of Billie Trix. I'm pretty sure I'll be missing it this time.

Towards the end of the interview, Neil said that on one of his trips to Folkestone, he saw a poster for the Sacconi Quartet, and it turns out that they are based there. Mark then added a little throwaway comment You're going to see them next week! They're performing their Sacconi Festival in...
Myself (Graham) and Dog (Chris) have made the brave (or foolish!) move to record a series of Pet Shop Boys fan podcasts.
Prior to recording, we had only met once ‘on a wet Wednesday night’ in a pub near where we both live in West Yorkshire in the north of England. But we thought it might be fun...

Your wish is my command. Correction: three sliders, five presets. And it even has a tape still inside it - Bentley Rhythm Ace! (I wondered where that had got to!) Doesn't appear to be working right now but might be my dodgy batteries.

Interestingly, also unavailable on Pet Shop Boys' US store. I gritted my teeth and paid for it on the UK store. (I've had reliable service from them on more recent orders there.)
In light of recent government advice in relation to the ongoing situation and threat of COVID-19 globally, Pet Shop Boys’ Dreamworld tour can no longer commence as planned in May 2020 and the dates are being rescheduled. The European leg of the tour was...

Pet Shop Boys will be headlining one of the stages at the Way Out West Festival in Gothenburg, Sweden, with a “Dreamworld” show on Saturday, August 9th 2025. Chappell Roan is also confirmed as a headliner on the same day. Tickets are on sale now and available at the link below.
Saw this the other day, does anyone know what the track list is?

A lot of the stuff included on the compilations from that site are downloaded from youtube... if you´re a long time collector, you´ll hardly find something really unique there...
So we're a little over a month away from the relaunch of the Dreamworld concerts.
The BlueRay was pushed back, and what releases we've seen this year could largely have been completed or produced before we even got to 2025. What little we have seen has been around Naked, and the unexpected Hymn...

As been mentioned there’s been plenty already and when I contacted Mark Farrow a few months ago he said there would be more since 1984 items available sometime this year so guess we need to wait until it’s announced. My guess there may be some available at the upcoming concerts this summer.
There is another thread about Loneliness but it's more oriented about the song but I think is better to have another thread about the b-sides. Well, they are two proper songs.
I think Party in the Blitz is a good song, not with the typical sound from PSB but If like it. :D
Through You is better...

Interesting. This Superchumbo Superextended Mix was the one originally exclusive to Beatport, if I remember correctly.

By the way I've booked to see the current Jimmy Somerville and Bronski Beat exhibition at ''Queer...
I'm delighted that my publisher has given me the go-ahead to provide details about my upcoming books. I've written two books in Fonthill Media's excellent Song by Song popular music series. Past Song by Song books have focused on such artists as ABBA, Bruce Springsteen, U2,...

I also question the ability to meaningfully cover multiple songs per page, but if anyone can distill analysis like that, Wayne can. The RW one is something like 500 tracks in 160 pages, which is just insanity.
At the risk of being a bit unseemly commenting on this matter at this stage (because I...
I'm a huge Pet Shop Boys fan since I was 4 years old and I wanted to share something special with you.
I’ve made an accurate instrumental recreation of one of their songs that I love the most, 'Being Boring' and I thought it would be fantastic to share it with this wonderful community...
The Hidden Cameras return with their long-awaited, anthemic new single, How Do You Love? Over a pumping bassline, soulful piano chords, and melancholic string arrangements (played and arranged by longtime musical partner Owen Pallett), Joel Gibb hits the precise spot...

Agree - this fits the summer mood perfectly. Great timing for this remix - we finally have some summer weather in Ontario too!
We need an extended version of this PSB remix. The climax starts at 2:25 and it starts to fade out at 3:30. That’s a shame.
I think we have to download the performance of PSB with the Olympics ( Winner , Westend Girls and Go West ) and upload it on Youtube as soon as we can.
If we put in the title Olympics parade or Olympics celebration with Pet Shop Boys , many people will look for it on Youtube, not Pet Shop Boys...

Neil sounds great in this!
Nice crowd loving it.
Very unique setting for them, in amongst it. No idea why people poo-pooed them getting involved.
« We are starting work early this year on the 2025 edition of Annually , which, as always, will include a selection of your letters answered by Chris and Neil.

This made me check back and in August it will be 20 years since my first post here, and I suspect I was lurking before that.
Crazy but absolutely brilliant that we’ve all been here for so long.
Just watched episode two of season four of “The Righteous Gemstones”, which is a Max/HBO comedy series about a family of corrupt televangelists.
The climactic scene of this episode prominently features “It’s a sin.” The success of PSB syncs since returning to Parlophone continues. I’m sure it also...

No no no it's perfectly normal
It's just the sound...of my testicles falling off
I was just listening Twenty something and came up with this question since it happens to me right after the last verse.
I always get goosebumps because I can't process how beautiful is that bit. (From 3:30 to 3:41 on the album version)
But there are other examples:

I was born in Husum, Germany, after the second world war, and grew up in a humanities environment characterized by Rudolf Steiner's teachings. I am surprised Never Gonna's sales figure is merely 700,000 + units. It was everywhere and I mean it literally. It was like every Uk citizen had to buy it by the force of law.
By the way, I hate that song (and all SAW tracks- they are so awful that they are not even popular atn those boring and...
Chris once said that after listening to Passion by The Flirts, everything he had heard up to that point was made redundant.
Cast your mind back to when you had that feeling to a Pet Shop Boys song.
Mine has to be Paninaro (Italian Remix) from Disco. Everything about that mix made me feel this is...

What always impressed me about Paninaro is that it's the bloody other one 'singing' it! How good must you be if a stone-cold classic has the keyboard player on lead vocals?
Even The Beatles only gave Ringo the cheesier songs; it wasn't like he sang Strawberry Fields.
I found some old VHS video cassettes in my loft at the weekend. Every time something PSB related was on the TV, I would stick my cassette in and wait, my fingers hovering over the record button. You may well have done the same. The result is four x three-hour cassettes, some more full than others,...
I'm having a blackout. I have a vague memory of listening to this remix, the full length one, on a CD because it would be on my ipod. I've searched in my many iTunes libraries, discogs, and I've come up empty-handed.
Am I delusional here, I could have sworn it was released on a CD, either a...
For people looking for the 1996 theme of The Noise, which they composed for the ITV show of the same name, someone uploaded the first full episode to youtube yesterday:

As some of you may know, some enthusiasts at the UK Mix forum recently got their hands on the actual chart data used by Gallup to compile the UK singles chart in the 1980s and early 1990s. What's interesting is that it revealed for the first time the estimated weekly sales of each single along with...

Somebody doing AI versions... supposed to sound like PSB or at least Neil singing. I've listened to a handful of songs. They sound like demoes and weak demoes as well. I compared with a Queen AI channel which was way ahead of this PSB AI channel.

I'm familiar with the channel. These songs are a guilty pleasure of mine.
These are some bits from Annually which I thought were interesting:
If Jesus had a sister “was potentially down to be on the album originally”.
Everybody will dance was sent to Robbie Williams for his possible use.
Chris’s first choice for their Piano Room cover version was Ivor Novell’s My...
