I think for those who don't have those albums this reissue is fine, but for fans who already own the original CD, LPs and Further Listening I don't think you're going to get anything interesting except a cardboard cover. It is an important outlay for just the curiosity of getting a cover.

I got an HMV Japan email today touting these re-release albums still for Aug 1. Didn't see anything about sleeves or mega jackets online when I linked to them but maybe Google translate was being weird and obtuse.

It's not perfect. I used it for my Nirvana/Pet Shop Boys mashup and there's some slight distortion here and there. But by putting the other vocals over the music, these artefacts are kinda blurred

I suspect they did the original demo with Andrew Dawson, knew it wasn't quite there yet, and put it back on the shelf.

Then they recorded it with Stuart Price, took it as far as they could, and were happy with the end product - solid, but knowing it was never going to rock the charts....
