How does Elton John like his salads?
With Rocket man!

I’ll get my coat...
Poster: blurred Chris and a young Neil with thick glasses. Myopic Pet Shop Boys.

Fugitive, Woods, Axis, inside a dream, Ring Road. If I have to choose one I'd say Ring Road.

Re: Pet Shop Boys Biopic?

Let Scienceguy write the screenplay and Jean-Luc Godard direct it, so it gets incomprehensible enough to win at Cannes.

I'm still going for Conductor

I think this album will have a more orchestral feel somehow and it's double meaning will fit in well with the Price Trilogy

Electric
Super
Conductor
I completely agree! Great idea!
It suits more a Trevor Horn production.

Re: A new decade a new phase: 20's

The 2003 Tour the France album is basically a reworking of an 1983 single. Not really. It has the 1983 single, but most of the tracks are new material. Not their best, imho. I just realized there's almost as much time between now and the Tour de France album than between Electric Cafe/Technopop and...

Re: A new decade a new phase: 20's

Arguing that PSB should only do selected shows in the UK is pure Anglocentrism of course. Fortunately, PSB are anti-Brexit (no Anglocentrism). :D I'm from Italy so I have no reason to be anglocentric. But one can assume that if they stop doing world tours there'll be less festival gigs and more spe...

Re: A new decade a new phase: 20's

Live dimension matters for money and fan support but it's hardly their creative core. I agree with this sentiment despite the fact it saddens me that it could spell the end of being able to see them on stage again. I'd gladly forego a new tour if it meant getting a second imperial phase. I know the...

Re: A new decade a new phase: 20's

I think extensive touring doesn't really bring anything new to the table. It's ok if fans can catch them more easily than in the past (yes, even Italian fans) but they're basically a studio act, not a rock band with an eye for improvisations and fluid setlists. Live dimension matters for money and f...

Re: A new decade a new phase: 20's

Two more studio albums after SP trilogy wraps up, selected live shows in England and the Turing thing in between. No more lucrative but creatively pointless world tours, please.

Re: Today I listened to Elysium for the first time since 2012...

I too have nice memories to associate with Elysium, in spite of its weakness as a whole. I remember hearing Winner for the first time in Rome at the same time of Italy doing pretty well @ Euro 2012, then the amazing Olympics thing (the return of pointy hats made me scream with joy), and finally part...

Re: Today I listened to Elysium for the first time since 2012...

Actually many of the instrumentals sound better than the vocal versions, they feel more cohesive.
