Still got mine from 1987. Here’s April’s classic photo:
Eurgh. April really is the cruellest month.
While we're at it - the perfect closing of their career circle would be writing music for "The Waste Land".

Re: After the third album of the triology, I want PSB to do an unexpected movement

"Trivial" would be a great title, particularly for a circle of songs about populism - but then I'm afraid Chris would veto it as anti-commercial, like he did when they were toying with the "No" title.

Re: Elysium vocals

thank you for bringing this up Bulldog. awhile ago I noticed a change in neils vocals from Elysium onwards...but I couldn't figure what it was...but I think I know now. while he never stopped double tracking....he switched from doing it the old fashioned way where he sang along with himself and jus...

Re: Elysium vocals

It's been probably discussed before, but does anyone else find the Elysium era vocals particularly strange? I know they were going for a smooth sound, but it ended up sounding clunky and weird on that area, a bit like the 1989 tour thing with the black backing singers doing all the harmonies. Been ...

I’d like to see the next album produced by Joey Negro
My dream too. He could give them back the lush disco/britfunk sound they need now. Both Dawson and Price made them sound too dry.

Yeah - noticed that too. It is good as an instrumental.
So is the rest of the instrumentals. There's a lot of nuances hidden behind vocals.

Re: Are we content ?

Once they stop I hope there'll be regular archival releases over time, even if it means scraping the bottom of the barrel a little. I don't like the idea of a sudden "this is it, nothing more".

Re: Neil Tennant announces new book

I don’t quite understand the reason behind this book. Who is it aimed at ? Are fans going to buy it just because it’s a Psb item? Is your average music fan going to buy it when all the lyrics are readily available on the psb site ? I see it as a test. If it works we might see more of that in the fu...

Yeah I forgot about that, see how my fandom is waning  But Ultimate didn't have a vinyl edition, did it? Besides it felt like a complete Parlophone/EMI thing, whereas PopArt seemed to have a little more input from PSB...

GH on vinyl?

Moving on from the reissues thread, I believe that the next step should be a vinyl edition of a new GH. I'd really like to get the singles in that format without having to look for Discography or PopArt LPs on Discogs. It's a sort of a gap in the catalogue now, even though they don't seem to like GH...
