Re: Album 16 - and the ghosts of producers past, present and future
I'd love to hear them work with Daniel Avery. His dark yet joyous productions would be a wonderful contrast to the Boys melodies.

Re: Stingy on the instrumentals
An official instrumentals version of Nonetheless woudl have been welcome as I still often enjoy listening to the instrumentals of Elysium and Hotspot. I think they should do one every time.

Re: Ranking the Nonetheless era songs
I haven't said too much about these songs this year, so indulge me. That said, I think I prefer to group the tracks of this era into divisions...

Re: Where is the oddest public place you've heard a PSB song?
I heard 'All The Young Dudes' play recently on Radio 2 whilst in the Windsor Tea Rooms in the posh seaside resort of Penarth, south Wales. I was with some friends in their 60s having a traditional fried breakfast. An old-fashioned setting not disimilar to the Bread & Breakfast scene in 'It Couldn't ...

I miss Pet Shop Boys 12" singles. That's one of the few downsides of their switch from Kobalt. Thanks for posting this poll - gives me a chance to go back and listen to decide my favourite.

Re: New Single 'Feel'
I'd be really interested to know how Schlager-Hitparade (Deutsches Demo) and the album version was received in Germany. I have a great deal of affection for Schlager having spent many long childhood holidays in Germany in the 1980s. Whilst England is their first pop home I feel like Germany is their ...

Re: Track-by-Track: From Please to Nonetheless
Three years was a very long time to wait in those days since their last 'proper' album. Pop music was in a different place by then. In the mainstream, Stock Aitken Waterman had saturated the market and despite some beautiful songs had given pop itself a bad name. Meanwhile, from the underground ...

Re: PSB open Strictly Come Dancing 16/11/24
This is exciting news. Two of my favourite cultural phenomenoms together! The convention on Strictly is that the special guests get to play one new song (no medlies). So, I'm guessing it will be 'All The Young Dudes' heavily featuring the (wonderful) professional male dancers.

Re: How do you think a casual teenager guy or girl could react to PSB music?
My niece is 17 and into Slowdive. She was into Billie Eillish and The 1975 but I think she's moved on. I was pleasantly surprised when she played one of her playlists in car and 'West End Girls' popped up. They never really made another song quite like that, did they? Nothing quite so strange yet so ...

Re: Anyone for tea with PSB?
If I had the money I'd love these. I love tea from a bone china cup. The very best part is that they are supporting manufacturing jobs in Stoke on Trent. I like the idea of PSB trainers mentioned above and much as I love Adidas, wouldn't be nice to have some Made in England New Balances (from their ...
