Re: Top 20 - 80s Duo (Classic Pop Magazine)

Every day is a school day, I always thought OMD were a duo.

What are your PSB's and related albums you never really bothered with before lock down but love now?

Really sad news. I’ve always felt since her 80s heyday, she never quite got the respect she deserved, which some of her contemporaries from that time seem to get. Looking at all the bands/ artists, old and new, paying their respects, she really did make a difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Re: PSB on BBC1 on New Year's Eve

As they’re making two appearances at the BBC, without anything to promote, I’m calling it now, they’ll be a new Greatest Hits released early January.

Re: New fan, nervous about concert

This comment might be sacrilege to most New Order fans, but I recommend starting with the Best of from 1994. It’s definitely not the definitive New Order best of album, but it’s a good place to start for fans looking for something that sounds like PSB. Then i would move on to the singles collection ...

Re: Household Gods

This has nothing to do with Desert Island Discs, but as it’s BBC Radio related, I thought I’d put it on here. It’s not worth starting a new thread. Last week on Ken Bruce’s show, Sting Surprisingly chose West End Girls, as one of his Tracks of my Years.

Re: BBC4 Top of the Pops Repeats

I’ve no memory of any of these new presenters, never heard of any of them. I think this must be when I got a Sega Mega Drive for Christmas, so I missed a lot of TV around this time.

West End Girls is one of Kylie’s picks, on the latest episode of Jools Holland. Their 2002 performance on the show is shown.

Re: BBC4 Top of the Pops Repeats

Apparently another presenter is withholding permission for their episodes to be repeated. So over the next year BBC 4 will be skipping 15 episodes. At least 1992 was a quiet year for the boys. Hopefully the episode featuring Disappointed, will be shown.

There’s a little bit about the boys, on episode 2 of The 80s - Music’s greatest decade? It’s currently on BBC IPlayer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The week before that (I am sure it was). There was a programme about Trevor Horn on. The same channel (BBC2). I don't know if PSB's were on it or ...

Perfect Moment

As it’s a little bit quiet on here at the moment, I thought I’d recommend Kangourou, the brilliant debut album by Perfect Moment. There’s definitely a bit of a PSB influence, so I think most fans might like it. I’ve been listening to it all week, and can’t get enough of it. https://youtube.com/playl...

I was so gutted when Boom Shake the Room kept Go West off the Top Spot. It’s got to be the Music equivalent of your team getting beat in a cup final.
