Re: New Single 'Feel'
It's a great song. I prefer the album edit to the radio edit, mainly because I love that first rush of melody, with the gorgeous string part.
I'm really looking forward to hearing the demo on the expanded Nonetheless.

Re: Radio 2 in the Park Preston
I really enjoyed watching this on TV. It was much better shot than Glastonbury, and while I like the Copenhagen concert film, I appreciate how this broadcast focussed mainly on the spectacular production rather than the audience. A lot of it was framed beautifully. It's also a slightly different sou...

Re: Wanna buy Chris Lowe’s car?
Talking of cars… According to a recent podcast, Neil’s still got his Land Rover Discovery 4 (think the one seen in the Release tour book), and Chris has still got his Jeep Wrangler c/w tape deck PLUS his 80’s Porsche 911 (think Turbo version). Apparently he and Vicki test drove an Audi E-Tron GT fo...

Pet Shop Boys - live - Koko (Camden Palace 😀) - London - 26 May 2024 @SimonSanders1 https://youtu.be/RH90ZjRgP4Y?si=6In-IyteiuKebPI0 Does anyone know what did Neil see at 5:30 in this video? I’m curious :? Someone was filming/taking pictures in the front few rows and they had their phone torch on, ...

Re: Club show at @KOKOLondon on 26th May.
Stuart Price and family, David Walliams, Tracey Thorn and Noel Gallagher all spotted there. I think some of their relatives were in the guest list bit too.

Re: and...Disco 5!!!!
... From memory, MGMT wanted PSB to mix their latest single, but Neil and Chris wanted to remix Kids instead. They remixed it without access to the stems… and sent it to the record label who opted not to release it. Neil “leaked” it via the official site instead. Judging the sound of the PSB mixes,...

Re: New album Nonetheless
I think “New versions” is a sentence in itself so the capital N is correct.
I’ve seen debate elsewhere regarding Bohemia’s lack of capitalisation. I’d expect Neil to say that he’s referring to “a bohemia” as in an artistic place, rather than the specific region of Bohemia.

Re: An evening with the Pet Shop Boys and album preview
I have the impression "Love is the Law" has an amazing outro (I think is the one you could listen in the docummentary) but the song is a bit meh according some reviews think. Not really high ratings for this song. Maybe the ones who have listened the album can say more about the closer so...

Re: An evening with the Pet Shop Boys and album preview
Did i miss the context or did Neil say he sees the Film and the Musical as mistakes/failures? No, he said it is the “received wisdom” (meaning the common opinion) that the film and musical were missteps, but qualified that by saying the DVD of the film is the BFI’s highest seller, and that the musi...

Re: An evening with the Pet Shop Boys and album preview
For the people who have heard the album: Burning the heather was supposed to be the key track of this album. Could this track fit on the album? No, not as it is. It would need a soaring orchestral part to fit on Nonetheless. One thing that struck me and my friend last night at the premiere was how ...

Re: Club show at @KOKOLondon on 26th May.
This may seem a silly question, and maybe I've missed the answer, but is the assumption that this will be the Dreamworld performance essentially, or is it going to be something different, with an emphasis on the new album? What do we reckon? It will be akin to the Electric Ballroom set in 2022, ess...

Re: New BBC 'imagine...' documentary on Pet Shop Boys confirmed for Spring 2024
I didn't understand the role of the man in the glasses. Like he's a famous journalist in England or something? First of all, he's very old, he hardly knows anything about music, design, electronic music, etc. It looked ridiculous, he sat there and asked hardly any questions. What was the point of c...
