Re: PSB vs Daft Punk

There was a fantastic article on popbitch.com about how the robot masks meant they could send just about anyone to personal appearances for hundreds of thousands of dollars while they stayed home. I actually think that's fantastic if it's true! At the same time, they created so much good music and I...

Re: PSB - Vaccination

I was lucky enough to work in the United Arab Emirates about 25 years ago. To even get entry at that time for more than a few days I had to have a series of inoculations including one particularly painful one ... ahem "À l’arrière" (excuse my French). I think it's perfectly reasonable to e...

Re: Hotspot: 1 year old today

It's all so subjective, so not sure my opinion matters, but I'll give it anyway :D I think it's one of the stronger PSB albums. I love "You are the one", it's something about that slightly "out-of-tune'iness" I personally really dislike "Only the dark" and skip it. &quo...

Re: Discovery 1994 - DVD/CD-Release

The part where they insert "The rhythm of the night" into "Left to my own devices" still makes me tingle. I was lucky enough to attend the first night of the "Somewhere" concerts, but this always felt like something on another level entirely; just a giant party. Neil an...

I rethought my earlier comment to this post and just now think "I hate this post".

Re: Neil and Chris and their big secret we speculate about, from time to time

Sigh. Neil is gay. He came out and said so. Chris is either gay or not gay. Maybe there are clues in the music and lyrics, but we don't know that for 100%. Even here isn't a space for me to spout any theories. But at the end of the day, who cares? I just hope that they keep making great music and ke...

Re: Pet Shop Boys - Please 35th anniversary tribute from me

Your bass/drum mix of Two Divided by Zero is really good. It's one of the few fan created mixes that I think approaches or even surpasses the original. It's only my opinion of it of course, but it's so clean and sparse, but ... I can't find the word ... Groovy? that I just love it. Thanks for posting.

Re: Synthesized voice on Hoping for a Miracle

I do believe you're right! Well at least, that's all I can hear now. (having said that, someone once told me to imagine the line "We're up all night to get lucky" in Daft Punk's song where the robots start singing as "We rub a Mexican monkey" - perhaps I'm just easily convinced)....

Re: Synthesized voice on Hoping for a Miracle

Hi! I thought that, but it's a fairly short sample like "Da Da Da -Dada-aaa" LOL, that example probably makes no sense :-)
