You've read the interview he did with Marc Bolan?

Re: “Dancing to Roxy and Bowie”: Reviewing the Pet Shop Boys, Nonetheless

This is where I get sort of obsessive, but I'd suggest, putting together the shreds of information we have so far, that this is not quite the ballad-heavy album we'd been led to expect: Loneliness - fairly upbeat disco stomper Feel - ballad but with a beats-filled climax Why am I dancing? - four-on...

French newspaper Libération not only mentions PSB on the cover, but has a two page interview and calls the ten songs on Nonetheless “sublime, tainted by humour and drama”: https://www.liberation.fr/culture/musique/pet-shop-boys-ou-est-la-foutue-chanson-de-taylor-swift-quon-est-tous-censes-reprendre...

Re: “Dancing to Roxy and Bowie”: Reviewing the Pet Shop Boys, Nonetheless

Fair play, bigboy, this is an accurate review, though I like Loneliness more than you seem to. Out of interest, how many listens was this based on? Oh, but I thought according to your Hellenic lord and mistress, this review was based on another magazine's.... that hadn't even been published at the ...

on the couple tracks he describes as having a sort of 60-ish vibe to them. maybe it sounds like the orchestral pop on records by The Postmarks like no one said it would be easy. this sounds like a beautiful and deep sounding album! More than a couple, but does the Postmarks reference still hold wat...

Re: “Dancing to Roxy and Bowie”: Reviewing the Pet Shop Boys, Nonetheless

Anyone get the feeling Schlager might be the third single? That or Why Am I Dancing? HA, I wondered when someone else was going to spot that one. It's practically the first thing that comes up in the defection story. Perhaps this is a deliberate attempt to get us all to fact-check and not take thin...

Certainly in terms of a classic PSB sound the first two are up there, as is Why Am I Dancing? I'd say the latter and Schlager are two with Third Single Appeal.

"Your" research, Sean? Or just that you read it in a certain song-by-song review of Nonetheless. You know what a review is, don't you? The result of when the media get sent things in advance so they can assist with the pre-promotion. I think it's called a job. https://www.stevepafford.com...
