Re: New EP in April: Agenda

If Agenda was meant to provoke debate on some sensitive current affairs, I'd say this thread certainly proves that it has worked. Getting back to topic, there has always been a PSB 'agenda' in terms of highlighting issues in the world, such as ID cards (Integral) and the transparency of some 'pop' s...

Re: The Forgotten Child - Production credit(s)

I love the fact the EP tracks don't have that massive audible breath before each line that Neil sings like some recent album tracks. Really irritates me especially on the verses of The Pop Kids. Hope the new album has better produced vocals as well.

Triangles are the only album cover homage I don’t recognise in that OSM video. Perhaps the new album?
I just had exactly the same thought! Seems logical after the cubes and circles.

Re: How different are your PSB tastes from those of the majority of PSB fans?

I love Was it worth it, Metamorphosis, Ego music, Hold on and, wait for it, Winner. I must be one of the few PSB fans who really likes Winner. It would sound a million times better being sung by a young boy band entering Eurovision, but in terms of it's lyrical and musical content, and that killer m...

Re: "Annually 2019"

As has been said earlier, I for one really look forward to reading Neil's songwriting diary so I'll be very disappointed if we have to wait until 2020 for that this time around.

I've got an image now of Neil sitting in a dark room with bleeding fingers as he hand binds 500 copies lol.

Re: Pet Shop Boys...In Your Kitchen!

Thank you for your help trying to find one for me. :D I am going to have to have a look at the much bigger Home Bargains here (excuse to go out). I saw a lovely one from Lakeland online that is a roundel rainbow type of design that you can take the roundels out but it is more expensive. Ebay: https...

Just found this silicone trivet in Home Bargains for £1.00. Looks strangely familiar...
You were really lucky finding one. - Our local one hasn't got them. :( I think we may have to travel out a bit.
Great Yarmouth store had 5 or 6 of them earlier today.

Re: Elysium vocals

On a related subject, I don't like the way Neil's vocals on the last two albums have the deep intake of breath before each line. I'm thinking of The Pop Kids in particular. You don't hear that as much on earlier releases.

'Unfortunate Connotations'

I heard an interview with Neil and Chris recently about deciding on the title for the Super album. Neil said that they had a title which they decided against as their manager said it could have 'unfortunate connotations'. They said they may use it in the future. Any guesses as to what this might be?...
