The two ways of singing the chorus of West End girls

In a West End town, a dead end world the East End boys and West End girls In a West End town, a dead end world the East End boys and West End girls Not sure if this was talked about before, but on the original record the second, bold "East End boys" words are sung at a higher note than the first. N...

They're pretty much stating explicitly that they wrote, how the hell can it be a cover? Especially if the original version was a demo of "Pazzo".
I must have missed or forgotten when/where they said that.

Re: 3rd single "Monkey Business" (Jan 2020)

Bloody hell, it looks like there are at least 5 songs titled "Monkey Business" by other artists already: "Monkey Business" (Skid Row song), 1991 "Monkey Business" (Michael Jackson song), released 2004 "Monkey Business", a song by Nik Kershaw on the album Human Racing "Monkey Business", a song by Pai...

Verse three: "I set out in the dark..." is a quite straightforward description of what happened once he left the pub.
But in the song he does not leave the pub, nor at least while singing those lines.

Re: Burning the heather

...made me think instantly of the case of Neil Dovestone, later identified as David Lytton. He was a 67 year old man found dead on Saddleworth Moor. He had taken strychnine. He was unidentified for more than a year. He had stopped in at the Clarence pub in the nearby town of Greenfield before climb...

Re: Burning the heather

Absolutely love this song right from the first listen. I love the chorus but I'm underwhelmed by the 'happy' ending. It works better as a miserablist anthem. I just realized the ending doesn't fit the mood of the song. I hope the album version will explain that. Well, why not to stay for a while wit...

What is the rationale for pre-ordering albums?

Am I missing something, or is there totally no point in pre-ordering Hotspot CD/Vinyl (let alone digital), nor at least say 1 week before the release date (so that it gets actually shipped on the date and not later)? IMO, pre-ordering would make sense if: There was a risk of running out of stock. No...

Re: Keeping An Open Mind on An Open Mind

An open mind is what I will use to refer to the whole Dreamland release in my mind from now on. Nothing really needed to be released on it apart from An open mind.

The intro sounds very similar to me to Mylene Farmer's Sans Logique https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukjCGYGu9Js

Re: Rate "Dreamland"

7, because it's slightly more euphoric than just "OK". But overall not impressed. The production is great but the melody in some places sounds amateurish and shoddy. Today is the next morning after I first heard it and played it a few times, and somehow I'm not eager to play it again today. Tomorrow...

New Zealand vinyl

Though not a fan of vinyl myself I recall there were some rare PSB records pressed in New Zealand back in the 80s. Looks like this is the equipment that was used for it: :D

Re: PSB announce ‘Inner Sanctum’ live DVD/BLU RAY/CD

Does anyone know which of the four 2018 ROH shows is/are featured on the release? I remember that 2 or 3 of the 4 shows were filmed. Now wondering if the final product is made of a mix of different days' shows or a single one. Also, does the content of the audio CDs exactly match the Blu-ray/DVD or ...
