Re: PSB Digital stores delivery issues

The big Q is of course why would an artist store like this think thay they can do as good a job as: 1) the amazons of this world who pay their employees sh^t but make sure that everthing you want is delivered to your doorstep in a few days 2) the brick and morter stores with a love of music and phys...

Re: 20 years of Further Listening

Time flies indeed! They’re no different from other legacy acts though: the ‘hits’ or critical acclaim happens in the first 5-10 years, then there is a period of consolidation if you’re lucky (PSB are masters at this) or decline and/or line up changes. Then after x years there is a reunion of the org...

Re: PSB Digital stores delivery issues

Sad to read about this, especially given the insane prices for their shipping (yet they use budget carrier options apparently). When I send something to the UK or US with express delivery from the Netherlands, it will arive in 3-4 days with full tracking...

Re: PSB Digital stores delivery issues

They blame Brexit because UK customs is a mess right now.

Re: PSB Digital stores delivery issues

Amazon have logistic resources that no one else can compare with because they have a monopoly on online shopping and they pay their fulfilment staff bugger-all. I know the downside of the amazon model. But what good is a store that does not deliver what is promised or paid for?? (Eg express shipment)

Re: PSB Digital stores delivery issues

I'm always waiting. I ordered on the 1st of March at 10am, fairly early. I remember the Facebook announcement went up maybe 15 minutes before I saw it and there weren't any comments. I believe would have been one of the first to preorder. Every day I am wondering, "what are Pet Shop Boys up to...

Re: "Cricket Wife" initial commentary

Cricket Wife was reviewed in yesterday’s Dutch newspaper “de Volkskrant”, kind of equivalent to The Guardian. They liked it (translation by me):
A surprising, long orchestral track without a beat or chorus. Ten minutes of violins with Neil Tennant reciting a poem. Weird, but it works.

Re: PSB Digital stores delivery issues

Got a notice in the mail the other day that my package of Annually had arrived.... to the customs... and I have to pay an additional equivalent to 13€ in tax and customs fee. Still 13 € is a cheap price to pay for Brexit... the people of UK are suffering a lot more. I feel sorry for the people of S...

Re: PSB Digital stores delivery issues

Just heard from another forum from a Belgian fan who has received Annually, with €35.50 in additional taxes and import cost to pay to the carrier due to Brexit.

Glad I skipped this one. €65 for just one new song is a bit too much.

Re: PSB Digital stores delivery issues

Very annoying indeed, and one of the many reason I am no fan of artist webstores. Don't know how to link to other topics (rather than the full thread) so I quote myself from another thread One of the annoying things of artists stores and their exclusive products. Apart from the VAT and import issues...

Re: It’s A Sin - Years & Years cover

Don't agree. They also did not acknowledge the latest C2H production for quite some time, but they were involved with Neil writing additional lyrics and Chris attending the performance I went too. There is nothing wrong with the Elton and Olly performance and I doubt very much they would have any is...

Re: It’s A Sin - Years & Years cover

Still would have been cool to have Neil and Chris in the background merely as keyboard players

Same here. Does not sound like Chris so I think it is his own modified voice

Nickname wrote: Sun 09 May 2021, 12:32 pm You are rating the song with a 7, 8, saying you are not going to listen to it again too much. It's a bit strange.
That’s because it is not a bad track, but not something I will listen too often. I have so many music, imlossible to listen to most of it very often
