Re: New EP on April: Agenda

Give Stupidity a Chance - can take it or leave it. However, I think the other three tracks are pretty strong. Certainly better than three or four tracks on Super and I prefer the production on these - feels warmer, more going on. Other have commented about how short the four songs are. I agree, they...

Re: On Social Media

What else has this producer done? These sound like PSB/Gleadall production tracks. Not sure what his sound is. I think we are getting the b-sides for the next album in the form of an EP because singles are dead. I like OSM and well enough produced but it's still a b-side type track. Sadly I think y...

Oh my god this is a terrible attempt at a political record.
Chukka Umunna will like it.

I’m looking forward to hearing the other three songs.

Re: "Winner" - the love and hate battle of this forum

The album version is really good. A positive, uplifting song. The happy/sad mix is stunning. My only issue was the timing of the release to coincide with the Olympics. I think Status Quo also released a song with a similar name around the same time. The whole thing looked desperaete. Winter is a mil...

Re: the most embarassing PSb song is...

So my first choice was New York City Boy. Incredibly embarrassing. What makes them want to play this in a live set alongside some great songs is beyond me. My second choice would be Hold On. Listened to it a couple of times when the album was released. Never again. Doesn’t feature on my Elysian trac...

A Dictator Decides really didn’t work for me, could barely hear the vocal. It was a toilet break opportunity for a number of people.

New York City Boy. I would never play this to anyone. Just horrendously embarrassing. Why they seem to consider this as a live staple is beyond me.

Re: In slow motion

So, they choose Your Early Stuff, Ego Music and Hold On over this. You could not not make it up. Do they pick songs out of a hat for an album? I'm really bored with people dissing the above three songs. They're excellent, particularly Hold on and Your early stuff. Can someone please explain what is...

I bought this today at Fopp, Covent Garden. They only had one copy in. The sleevenotes are great, the song commentaries often borrowed from Wayne Studer!
Is there any noticeable improvement in sound for this new edition?
Nothing I was able to pick up on.
