Re: PSB EDINBURGH MUSICAL SHOW

I loooved the show by the way. Frances Barber has this wonderful way of seeming so at home in the skin of Billie Trix. Can't wait to see it again in London.

Re: PSB EDINBURGH MUSICAL SHOW

Ok...so if I understand this concept, Neil and Chris wrote 6 songs...one for each decade...in the "times" of each decade...correct? So in the running order of the cabaret show and each song: 01. “Mongrel”...the 1940s 02. “Soup”...the 1950s 03: “Run, girl, run”...the 1960s 04. “Ich bin Musik”...the ...

Those backing vocals on Soup are really grating.
Some good soups need a bit of grating!

Re: PSB EDINBURGH MUSICAL SHOW

It's difficult when you work shifts including two weekends out of three and with demands on annual leave but to cut a very long story short, it looks like I'll be able to travel up to Edinburgh on Monday 5 August itself and back on Tuesday 6 August before returning to work on the Wednesday. A friend...

Great, although Positive role model is an excellent PSB song, it indeed was not the ideal closing song for the musical (that was what I thought when I saw the original one in 2001).
I love Positive role model and will insist on singing it loudly after the end of one of the performances!

Re: The musical that just won't die ;)

Attended the first preview - despite some technical issues it was great fun and the plotting seems clearer. <Mile End lee gets his version of Something Special when he's modelling for Billie Trix. Great to bump into fellow Petheads at Above the Stag!

I clicked this thinking West End Girls were making new music.

By the way the Sex over the Phone advertisement was probably to promote the Village People....

Re: Where is the oddest public place you've heard a PSB song?

A summer night of 2017, at a gas station close to my house. There were 2 food trucks on the opposite side of each other, one doing pasta, one doing panini. I was sitting eating by the pasta one and Go west started playing. A few second later the panini one started playing Suburbia. All the situatio...

Luna Park, on a plane, (several times before a Virgin Atlantic flight). This was repeated on the way home too.
