Re: When you stop liking the music as much

£750. https://www.superdeluxeedition.com/news/depeche-mode-by-anton-corbijn/ That is such a massive mis-step in the current climate. Fans on social media are equally enraged about the frankly ridiculous pricing. Where's the £29.99 A4 sized paperback that actual fans who have been through eight mont...

Re: Being Boring At 30

Being Boring is art. By this point, they had mastered the trick of producing superior throwaway pop music designed for maximum commercial impact. Being Boring flopped as a single because it wasn’t remotely throwaway. It was still superior (and how), but it was art. The fact that they were surprised...

Anyone tried actually ordering this? I get as far as an order then it tells me I can’t have it shipped until I order €40 worth of stuff. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Re: When you stop liking the music as much

I've been a huge Depeche fan since around 86. I keep kidding myself that the next album will be a "return to form". I've been saying that for four albums now. Man that group misses Alan Wilder....

Re: PSB at the BBC

..and we've finally beaten the Mike Smith Police... What was wrong with Mike Smith? He didn’t sign the TOTP rerun agreement and shortly died after. So the BBC have honoured his wish and have not repeated any episode that was presented by him. It’s a shame because to the casual listener, it lumps hi...

Re: When you stop liking the music as much

I think it all has to do with expectancy. I have several artists on my A-list. That's a list of bands or artists of which I will buy an album with no hesitation. Pet Shop Boys are on my A-list. Jean-Michel Jarre too. There are some more, but over the years the list is thinning. Jean-Michel Jarre's ...

On “The Story of 1990” they showed a previously unbroadcast Liza Minelli performing Love Pains. As it stalled at 41, it never got on the show.

Koz could be a good choice. He produced Physical, Levitating, Love Again and Boys will be Boys for Future Nostalgia.
Didn’t know SP produced Physical! That’s an absolute banger that track!

Re: DREAMWORLD Greatest Hits Tour RESCHEDULED until 2021

I am not holding out much hope that the rescheduled 2021 gigs will happen. Six months of early closing in the UK and extended furlough. Not a hope that this'll be gone by May 2021...

Re: What do you think PSB are going to do this year?

It did feel like the whole campaign was a "that's that stage wrapped up". Focus already was on a greatest hits tour. Perhaps the whole "Warner Brothers" thing was well underway and we have indeed seen the last x2 release. That would explain why we haven't had a fifth single or even a standalone one ...
