Re: The lost single

Yeah I only really liked Drunk on concrete because it had acoustic guitar all the way thru the song like the studio version should have been, and I enjoyed their beautiful orchestral version of rent. west end girls sounded ok, but it just sounded uninspired. my favorite live version of west end girl...

Re: The New Album Info Thread

Also... I remember around the nightlife era, someone claiming to have the song "telegraph boy" and forever holding that over everyones head. and then I think the same guy before Release came out swore up and down he had already heard the album before everyone else and as proof offered up that the wo...

Re: Weak production

The production isnt weak, but it is more electronic. While fundamental wasnt perfect song wise....to me it is the perfect type of production. it was a mix of full on electronic tracks such as "Minimal" and Psychological,Integral, alongside ones that were more orchestrated with acoustic guitars, such...

Re: Rate "Dreamland"

Quite frankly the other singers voice is starting to grate on me. when his voice comes in it sounds unnatural somehow....like it doesnt fit well, like there is some sort of effect on it that makes it sound kinda rough. I like the song, I just dont like the collaboration. it didnt need that guy whoev...

Re: Ausfahrt = EXIT

Look at the amount of music. these guys love creating. they will be putting out albums till they die. and I think touring keeps them young and they enjoy the feeling of love they get so I suspect they wont ever retire and would be really surprised if they ever do.

Re: September single...???

NICE! the synths are dry and retro sounding, Neils voice seems purposely under produced as compared to his usual shimmering sound. its got a killer chorus that is immediate and really stays with you. the downside, I could have done without the collaboration. its distracting hearing someone elses voi...

Re: Musik - Cabaret and EP

You really have to be amazed at how prolific Neil and Chris are. I cant think of any artist who puts out so much new material. main albums, B-sides, collaborations, side projects, musicals. I cant think of anyone really.

Re: Breakups

What a coincidence. I was just watching a documentary on the musical group "The Carpenters' and Neil Sedaka was their opening act in the early days and according to the crew of the Carpenters they booted Neil off the tour because apparently he was getting too big a nice reaction from the crowd and w...

Re: Forgotten Child - unofficial JCRZ remix

Yeah this one is really good. I especially like whatever sound patch you are using on that little lead line that pops up every now and then. sometimes I listen to one of your mixes such as one I was listening to a little while ago, your remix of "legacy" , and the parts where neil is singing the par...

Re: Musik - Cabaret and EP

I felt musically it was a step back into the simplistic straight ahead musicality of early demo-ish sounding PSB..which I never liked.

Re: Shorter songs - Annoying

I'm the opposite. I HATE these, I guess you call them..."extended versions" ones where they just take the groove and extend it. dont like them. oh, and their songs that dont have an actual chorus. I hate those as well. I like quick snappy pop songs...unless....they have something that makes it inter...
