Re: Neil Tennant’s ‘The Thing’

Neil's been pretty "sophis" and deep lately. I like it and I hope it will translate in his new lyrics. Hopefully there's room for something more substantial than "Groovy" or "Say it to me".

Re: Would you like a new PSB rock album?

With Price at the helm they could sound like The Killers - "The last to die" showed that. I love the killers and Brandon flowers btw. That’s the kind of Rock I like. Anyway I prefer funk, and I can’t imagine them doing that! lol 😂 They could make a vintage-sounding britfunk album with Joey Negro. O...

Re: Neil Tennant announces new book

Someone on Quietus' Facebook page mentioned rumours of PSB being involved in 2020 celebrations of Beethoven's 250th anniversary. Now just how cool would be that?

Re: Royal Opera House Shows DVD

Evidently not, otherwise so many wouldn’t still be released. A well filmed live concert sound wise and visually destroys almost anything you’d find on YouTube. But it seems they're mainly reissues/remasters of older filmed shows, with some relevant exception (Roger Waters' new take on "The Wall" fo...

Trevor Horn - London show with special guests

Trevor Horn and his band have just announced on Facebook a live performance at Queen Elizabeth Hall on the 2nd of November, with several special guests TBA - any chance for another PSB cameo?

If the footage ain’t good enough it may not even happen.
The show might as well have been filmed for mere archival reasons. Live DVDs are totally useless in this day and age.

Re: Royal Opera House Shows DVD

This specific ROH show was given its own name, though, so I reckon "Pet Shop Boys - House - Inner Sanctum live at ROH" would be a little confusing. It wouldn’t really be any different to DVDs such as Montage and Cubism being titled something completely different to the Nightlife and Fundamental tou...

Re: Royal Opera House Shows DVD

All of their other live CDs / VHSs / DVDs have retained the one word title format so I don’t think this would be any different. 2)What could be the title?
"House Music" but it would be 2 words
"ROH" in alternative
Why not just "House" then? Sounds cool. Most likely it'll be just "Inner Sanctum", though.

Re: After the third album of the triology, I want PSB to do an unexpected movement

Disco 5 is loooooooong overdue, i want them to revisit their biggest hits and bring them bang up to date with new 12" mixes Ooooh that's an intriguing idea, actually! 8) That would mean another pointless live album, basically. Disco 5 should be a collection of new/unreleased remixes from the SP tri...

Re: In the studio: 21 songs for the new album so far

I don't know what else they can experiment with Price other than a slower album or a vapid Killers-like lite rock thing. Super was already more pop than Electric, thus saying they're making a pop album feels somewhat generic - unless it means they're doing acoustic pop, which looks unlikely with Pri...

While we're at it - the perfect closing of their career circle would be writing music for "The Waste Land".

Re: After the third album of the triology, I want PSB to do an unexpected movement

"Trivial" would be a great title, particularly for a circle of songs about populism - but then I'm afraid Chris would veto it as anti-commercial, like he did when they were toying with the "No" title.
