Re: This is breaking my heart

My Berlin-centric PSB worldview is showing. :shifty: That said, they even come to Ireland semi regularly these days, where not too long ago you'd be lucky to get them every eight years. I suppose it's a function of their incarnation as "the synth pop Pink Floyd waddling pompously around the world l...

Re: This is breaking my heart

Can't you convert them to DVD or digital and keep the artwork paper?

Re: I flit

They had their career nadir in 2000-2001, almost everything since then has been good to great.

Re: Expectations

The last two albums were both released in spring/summer. My money's on a darker album out on september/october 2019 - but it could be Turing OST as well. It depends on what project they'll give priority to (aren't they bored with endless tours?).

Re: Expectations

One of the things we can expect is a third track based on Purcell, can't we?

Let's hope it doesn't mean they gave up on Turing.

Re: Reviving the PSB Song Game

Very good. Neil being Brian Wilson around 1965. Should have been included on Elysium instead of insipid fillers like "Breathing space".

My turn: Inside a dream.

Re: Expectations

"Yes" is a pop album, the only proper bangers were on the "Did you see me coming?" single package (add to that the dub mixes, if you want). Surely Pandemonium is more of a banger than Did You See Me Coming? I would even argue that All Over the World is too (even though it's slower BPM). Of ...

Re: A third project with Trevor Horn?

Anyway, in my opinion the best thing PSB can do is coming back with the elements of the 80's (ex: the same I put above) but with elements from this era. If I could choose. If I had enough money, I'd try to sign Trevor Horn (old producer), Stuart Price (mature producer) and a relly young producer wo...

Re: A third project with Trevor Horn?

Greetings, I listened to the remastered Please last night and was amazed to hear the contrast between light and shade, the sounds and the silence, the mastery of when to apply a sound, and when to not. In contrast, the current "copy and paste" mode of computer-centric production has indeed led to l...

Re: Expectations

Well, listening to the instrumentals of Electric and Elysium it's quite obvious that Elysium is the better album. Electric is, to quote PSB, just "lasers and banging". With all the great b-sides I would rank Super between Electric and Elysium. Fundamental, Yes and Elysium is a great later day trilo...

Re: Expectations

Well, doing a kickass dance album was quite necessary after Yes, TMIT and Elysium. Why? "Yes" had plenty of dance. Their first albums that were summarised by Discography were far from pure dance, and those are the foundations. Electric is on it's own so far. Relentless and Disco are cousins, but no...

Re: A third project with Trevor Horn?

It'd be a good thing, but without EMI's financial support he's probably too expensive now.
