Re: Chris dancing and almost running

Another very unusual performance, Chris is the singer and dancer, Neil plays the keyboards: https://youtu.be/acvTM_kauvE Presumably this is the performance the Disco sleeve is taken from? I think the Disco sleeve are stills from the Paninaro video. But yes they are dressed very similarly here. Love...

Re: Direction...

Sounds like the next album might be darkly electronic. Then, after they break with Price, I recon we will get another "beautiful" album, like Behaviour/Release/Elysium. I'd be very surprised if there wasn't an anti-Alt-Right themed album in the vein of Fundy.... question is - is that the dark elect...

Re: Trying to be fair about the level of PSB's music nowadays

Putting it simply, there are PSB classics for average Joe and classics for PSB fans. As a fan, to me a classic means simply a song that a good 90% of the fans, say, will appreciate unconditionally; "New York city boy", for instance, is a very well known song, even among non-fans, but it's always be...

Yes - you might think you are being objective but you can't then reasonably pick out two album tracks as the only examples of classics from the last 17 years.

Re: Revisionism

I thought this was rather shabby of the NME. But then to be honest it is a shadow of its former self. The NME used to stand for something. And certainly when I read it- in the 90s- it felt like it had its finger on the indie pulse. Yes, it wasn't massively PSB friendly though I do remember both som...

Re: Trying to be fair about the level of PSB's music nowadays

I don't think you can reasonably say that All Over The World and The Sodom And Gomorrah Show are classics but The Pop Kids, Vocal and Leaving aren't. You are simply expressing personal preference. These tracks and others stand up comparably against their classic big hits.

Re: NME Godlike Genius 2017

Then why are they doing Gaypride in Brighton? But you should be able to play Gay Pride and still expect not to be defined by your sexuality. That's completely fair and it's not contradictory. They've played for Volkswagen and for MasterCard. For Warchild. For Teenage Cancer Trust. For fun. For mone...

Re: NME Godlike Genius 2017

It has nothing to do with that. It has stereotyped them in many ways. As Neil has mentioned, it bothers him to be mentioned as "A gay group " In the 80' s they were the "Ironic band " He didn't like that either, but prefers that to " The gay band" Then why are they doing Gaypride in Brighton? But y...

Re: PARIS - POSTPONED

Couldn't it be something like they didn't have the necessary paperwork / clearance to use the lasers and were working until the last minute to try find a way around the bureaucracy? That would explain it to me anyway I think. I do get that they wouldn't have wanted to perform without the full show, ...

With the current leg of the Super Tour finishing tomorrow - and with the first batch of reissues scheduled for April - hoping we'll hear more news on this this week.
