Since they left Parlophone I've thought that it would be good to 'box-off' this chapter in their career with a three CD singles set. I would include the widest definition of a single, including foreign releases, promos, limited editions and online teaser tracks - as long as they were released on Pa...

Any new "late career" singles compilation would probably just take up the story from the last singles compilation in 2010. So, from Elysium onwards. With no hits, it would have little traction. In my view, they only ever got the concept of a singles compilation right once: for Discography...

The trouble with box sets is that they are great at an end of career thing. Otherwise they're kind of pointless. The Blur 21 box set was fantastic in its concept and execution... then two years later release a new album. Erasure will do the same... From Moscow To Mars the career spanning box set is...

At least the Teenage Cancer Trust gig will definitely be something special (unless its just the Super Tour with a philharmonic orchestra and Johnny Marr :P). Or a rehash of the 2012 Salford performance with...Johnny Marr and the BBC Philharmonic. But it'll be unique! It's the Royal Philharmonic thi...

I think we'll see something like: April - Nightlife, Release and Fundamental deluxe CDs August - Yes and Elysium deluxe CDs November - complete reissue of all 11 Parlophone LPs plus Relentless - and a box set including all 12 November - reissue of the first six Parlophone deluxe CDs plus Relentless ...

Hey there! Tomorrow (Saturday) is the last full day of my current Pet Shop Boys poll, which asks how you feel about Chris not performing any live vocals during their recent concert tour shows (both the Electric Tour and the current Super Tour). If you haven't voted yet, please take a moment to visi...

I think Neil's just taken to singing those words over the top of the intro - I think the music is the same. Not sure it works really.

Just a cursory glance but I couldn't spot Creamfields, the London NME Uni Tour date, either UK Potemkin gig or the Salford concert with the BBC Philharmonic.

Compiling something like this was always going to be a thankless task though.

I put together a playlist inspired by the inclusion of Andrew Dawson's HappySad mix of Winner and the Ambient Mix of Home and Dry in the Super Tour setlist... Plus the excellent Real Lies mix of Say It To Me. It fits nicely onto a single CD as it is, but anything fantastic and of a similar nature I'...

Maybe I've missed it, but I haven't heard yet whether the Boys have an opening act on the Super Tour. Can anyone fill us in on this? Personally, I hope there isn't one. I found Stuart Price's "Jacques Lu Cont" opening set on the last tour to be boring and interminable. I know that's a mat...

That's ridiculous. You can't arbitrarily discount the tracks from Super. The fact remains - there's very little recycled from previous shows.

I really can't understand this view. Almost half the set list is made up of songs that they've never toured before. Other tracks haven't been performed for over a decade. For the first time they are playing with a full electronic band. New arrangements of classic tracks. New costumes. New lighting a...
