He plays The Message, Passion by the flirts and Spacelab by Kraftwerk. No news other than live dates and states he can't be bothered writing his memoirs though he's been asked. One day
Did he mention any new live dates?
No.

Re: Pre-Show Music

Did you make this playlist Dog, or is a screenshot from Pete Gleadall? Is the link shareable via Apple Music, save me doing it manually  I rebuilt the playlist from the one Pete posted. If you can find his tweet I wouldn't mind double checking it though. Sorry but I'm not on Apple Music. From...

I assume they just make sure they have enough for those nights they open the doors earlier.

I would write and ask even if you're not sure. It's a nice idea.

Re: Nightlife: Unrequited Love and a Desperate, Euphoric Descent into Camp

Have they actually come out and said that anywhere? There's no special designation given to it on the "Don't know what you want" singles in terms of credit. "Absolutely Fabulous" meanwhile wasn't credited as "Pet Shop Boys" upon initial release but even it showed up on the Very Further Listening, o...

Re: Nightlife: Unrequited Love and a Desperate, Euphoric Descent into Camp

Along with Break 4 Love, they left it off Format saying they regarded them both as collaborations rather than straight PSB tracks... Probably first and foremost because they were short of space across the discs. It still doesn't explain why "Sail away" (other than being a cover version, but so is "...

Re: Nightlife: Unrequited Love and a Desperate, Euphoric Descent into Camp

I also think "Nightlife" era b-sides are their weakest (not counting "Electric"/"Super" era b-sides because that'd be unfair). "Je t'aime..." cover version is so godawful that the first (and the only) time I heard it I couldn't even believe it was their record. Turns out they don't consider it Pet ...

Re: Nightlife: Unrequited Love and a Desperate, Euphoric Descent into Camp

The sheer variety and dark euphoria on show makes Nightlife intoxicating, but their trajectory was clear. Nightlife took them further into camp. Closer to Heaven would be the nadir before the necessary correction of Release. I'm not sure Nightlife is any 'camper' than most other Pet Shop Boys albums.

Re: Reissues project

The Sodom demo and the ringtones were added instead. We got bloody ring tines instead of the instrumental of Psychological! Bloody hell. Wish I'd been at that meeting. 'bangs head against wall' Or you could look at it as a straight swap between an instrumental most of us already have and a brand ne...

Re: Reissues project

Cannot believe some of the tiniest, meaningless errors people whinge over. Honestly, spend your time doing something else than worrying about a comma being in the wrong place. Comma's don't bother me in the slightest. Wrong tracklistings do as that's essentially misleading information. I'm not that...

That Faithless sound was dated even when Nightlife first came out. Insomnia was 1995. I remember feeling at the time they were a bit late to that particular party.

I'd echo the love for I Don't Know What You Want... my favourite single and favourite video.
