Re: The 10-track "US-version" of Introspective that could've been
Greetings, I agree with those who say that it shouldn't have been touched. Imagine how peeved you would be as a US fan to find out you got a scrappy collection of edits and b-sides, and that the UK got the superior and intended version of the album with the full length tracks? It would really make y...

Re: Lost
Greetings, On a side note, this is the first time I remember an Annually book being "re-promoted"... normally it's sold out before release without that. Could it be that postage costs and living expenses are hitting hard, or might we be expecting Lost to become a multi-format release, wort...

Re: Lost
Greetings, Here we go again. Neil has stated in a rather vague and preliminary way what it's about, from his side. I see no benefit in anyone quarreling over differences in their own political perspectives. Surely we can wait until we find out what the lyrics are, and then maybe have a meaningful an...

Re: Pet Shop Boys CD becomes one of the most expensive ever sold on Discogs
Greetings, Interesting. Postage makes it prohibitive for me, but a Pethead in Europe might want to get onto securing themselves a copy of the 12" before that starts getting pricey too. I've got a vinyl rip of the 12" and musically, you're not missing out on much as it's a pretty awkward ha...

Re: Disco 3 is 20 years old
Greetings, But Nightlife and Bilingual both had some exceptional pop moments. I don't see them as "decline" Compared to the near faultlessness of Please, Actually, Introspective, Behaviour and Very, it's hard not to. Obviously taste is a subjective matter, but I'd be quite confident that i...

Re: Disco 3 is 20 years old
Greetings Dog, I know what you are saying, but I think Release should be credited as the moment they reset, ready to rebuild. I hear you, but given that the "rebuild" checked in immediately afterwards via Miracles, Flamboyant, their remixes of Yoko Ono's Walking On Thin Ice (note that ther...

Re: Disco 3 is 20 years old
Greetings, I've said it before, but for me Disco 3 was a very significant release because it arrested the period of decline and inconsistency that had effectively commenced the moment after Very was put on the record store shelves, 10 years prior. Taking advantage of the back-to-basics sound ushered...

Re: Annually + CD - Published on April 14th, 2023
Greetings, International postage to Australia was a bit of a killer - I rationalised it by thinking of the book as the "purchase price" and the CD as the "postage price". But after giving the previous edition a miss due to the lack of a CD, it looks like I'm back on the Annually ...

Re: Disco one
Greetings,
The 7" version sounds like walking through a swanky furniture store, and the music doesn't even remotely fit the lyrical themes.
The Alternative version (and the 12" version) have the appropriate hardness and street edge.

Re: Disco one
Greetings, Whoa... I just realised that the version of A Man Could Get Arrested on Alternative is different to (and IMO superior to) the "12 inch b-side" version. For some reason I assumed it was the same, but it's very clearly not. Also, it's obviously not the "7-inch b-side version&...

Re: Disco one
Greetings, Interesting also that it was always known on some level as "Disco One", even though it didn't become a multi-part series for several years later - the concept was clearly there. I remember looking at an internal record store catalogue here in Australia in the late 80s and seeing...

G'day Dog.
This is all it said...

Re: Radio 1 jingles
Greetings, Carter USM, Kylie and Seal were mentioned that they recorded one/some. Has anyone ever heard these somewhere else as from memory I don’t think they were used on the radio. Marc Ollington (Jim Bob from Carter USM's manager, who operates their Facebook page) was asked at one point whether t...

Re: New EP incoming?
Greetings, They also said it'd be political, who wants that. "Save Ukraike, Putin is evil" yadda yadda It's like you're living in your own petty multiverse where they write albums only for you, and the rest of the humanity doesn't exist. And it stinks. Personally, I really liked the idea o...
