Re: “Into Thin Air” revisited

I think this was my third favourite song from Super, after Undertow and The Pop Kids. Honestly, I'm not much interested to go back and listen to it, to see if that's still the case. I'm sure in time, I'll revisit Super, but after thoroughly enjoying the Disco 3 to Electric period, I found Super to b...

Re: Reissues project

I'm not going to be pre-ordering this set of remasters, as I have all the original Further Listening albums on CD, although I do look forward to hearing about the quality of the remasters. If people seem to be blown away by the dynamics, then I may consider ordering them from the O/S. At this point ...

Re: The Catalogue Interviews - put your questions to Harold Faltermeyer!

Greetings Spooky, i felt Behaviour was the PSB's last great album. i remember how annoyed i was when i got a promo cassette single of "Can You Forgive Her" and listened to it for the first time. my immediate response to that first listening was: NO! i actually thought it was a joke. thinking to myse...

Re: Reissues project

Just take a look at the tracklistings! Absolute rubbish!

Bounce?!! FFS... that's from 1987 or 1988.

Re: Final results of poll on unperformed PSB songs 1996-2001

Greetings, The next poll made me realize how great "Time on My Hands" would sound on a concert. Time On My Hands was a little bit of a missed opportunity, as it could have been mixed much differently and given a more clinical, harsher, electronic edge (... I'm envisaging something here more akin to ...

Re: In slow motion

Greetings Drico, I know where you're coming from, but I'm not sure anything could match Behaviour. Not because the songwriting isn't there, but because Behaviour was seminal for many of us as teenagers. The very fact we were teenagers allowed Behaviour to speak to us so deeply. Elysium found us in a...

Ditto. A couple of spindles broken on my Yes case, but nothing that renders it unusable.

Re: The Re-issues Chart Watch Thread!

Greetings, Another factor to consider here is that there will be people (like me!) who bought the vinyl re-issues of Nightlife, Release and Fundamental, as the original issues of these are expensive and too hard to find. Yes and Elysium already had recent and not too expensive vinyl pressings (in fa...

Re: Further Listening booklet scans

Greetings, On a SLIGHTLY related note, I have digitized my CD copies of the Further Listening discs up to and including Fundamental into FLAC format. (I'm still waiting for Yes & Elysium to arrive in the post). For each "album" (read: disc), I like to have different artwork. A scan of the front of t...

Re: Reissues project

Greetings, Yeah, the drum drop-out at 2:22 on the original version of Love Etc. is intentional, and it's not something that would be impacted simply by the remastering process. So the version on the 2017 release is actually an "alternate" version. Woops! I'll settle for that... I didn't think Love E...

Re: Australian News Roundup

Greetings, I picked mine up at Red Eye Records in Sydney where Yes is $44.98 and Elysium is $39.98. All up I saved $15 by getting them both at Red Eye. The guy at Red Eye said that the Australian record company had jacked up the price for no apparent reason. Sanity stores in Melbourne have Yes at $5...
