Generally venues are ok with cameras. They don't like big zoom lenses. I was told at a venue that they dont like the zoom lens to extend further than 3 inches, otherwise it's deemed as a professional camera.

Lots of people take records and cds for them to sign.

They signed concert photos I had taken of them a couple of years ago.
