Re: Crazy Pet Shop Boys Recreation With Original Instruments

Excellent work. Really enjoyed that.

One ingredient missing: When they stab at the keyboard they need to triumphantly swing their arms about like Neil does.

Re: SUPER (2 years later, we'll see its popularity)

An album of mixed lollies!

I enjoy it but I have to rate it at the bottom - because it's less thematic and slightly less considered than all the other albums - would be unfair to rate it any higher!

Still, it's fun and gets a spin.

I keep alternating between hoping they read this website and hoping they don't have the internet altogether.

The Nightlife look. It may not be the most popular but I love how they looked back then.
Yeah loved that look too. Didn't quite hold up as well in real life, but was great for the promotional material.

Re: Chris's most iconic 'looks'

I never understood this. Maybe I'm missing some British context http://www.shanemarais.net/wp-content/uploads/2016/06/44-53a-smash-hits-13-26-july-1988-198x300.jpg Wonder if they always rely on stylists. The costumes are designed of course, but wonder how much else is advised. I'd get my money back ...

Hard to ignore the stern looks and tuxedo on Actually cover and Deserve This? video.

Quite like this one... perhaps not iconic to anyone but me though!

You're conversing with a man who'd be perfectly happy if they spent the rest of their career making songs like Invisible and Leaving.

It'd be a good thing for the more die-hard fans who have followed them all this time.

Re: Poll ends soon on your favorite "post-millennial" PSB album

I'm surprised Yes bested its rivals. It's a good album but I was under the impression Electric and Fundamental were greater fan favourites. For me it was a toss up between Electric and Elysium. I went for the latter because it's the underdog and it's got more songs. Elysium holds up very well in my...

Re: Poll ends soon on your favorite "post-millennial" PSB album

Tough not to vote for Fundy or Electric.... but Yes nails it for me. Great succinct pop songs, classic PSB, lots of Neil musings. The last three tracks make for a stellar closer. The jingly Love Etc is terrific and fresh opener. And everything in between, just a great package. But damnit I also want...

Re: Reviving the PSB Song Game

OK I was going to wait and give other people a turn, but let's keep it moving :) The Boy Who Couldn't Keep His Clothes On : latin flavoured disco mixed in with Neil's downkey commentary, it's fun and sits in a great batch of Bilingual B-sides. I always imagined the female intervention to be from the...

Re: Expectations

Those were the exact star ratings the site is reporting to google search results No, that's google extracting those scores from the site and rounding No. That's how search terms work, not how the meta data works. In any case, all they've done is to round 6.7 up to 7 and 8.4 down to 8..... not the h...
