Curious about Pethead's interest in massive subway/underground posters

#1 Post by Remark »

Hello Petheads,

So I'm preparing to move house and I've come across my massive stockpile of huge PSB subway/underground posters. I have more than 20, I think. They are all rolled up at the moment but I'll be busting them out soon to be reminded of which ones I actually have. Most are in great condition. Just curious to get a sense of demand for these gems. Any of you interested? I haven't even thought about pricing them yet.

Hello...Remark

I, too, might be interested in a select few.

This was just the prompt I needed to look through the ones that I have...it's been ages since I've even looked.
I have no idea which or how many are in the tube.
With my expected retirement just around the corner, I am most excited to inventory my PSB catalog and fill a few gaps with select items that I have lusted after for too long.
I am converting my no-longer-needed home-office to a place to display items from my collection and posters that I will have framed.

Thanks for the impromptu encouragement!
...It always comes as a surprise!

Will do! Thanks for the interest! I still have to decide what I'd like to keep or sell. Off the top of my head, the large subway format posters I think I have are:

2 x Alternative (one with Chris, one with Neil)
2 x Relentless (Chris, Neil)
2 x Before (Chris, Neil)
2 x I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing (Chris, Neil)
2 x Liberation (Chris, Neil)
Yesterday when I was mad
Paninaro 95
I don't know what you want but I can't give it anymore
You only tell me you love me when you're drunk
I get along
Please
Heart
Go West
Se a vida e
Bilingual
Behaviour
Jealousy
Was it worth it
Disco 2

And many smaller posters!

out of interest how did people get hold of them?
I remember going around Manchester and offering a few pounds when i saw people putting up fly posters. Always asking if they had the latest PSB one. Worked most of the time. The Heart ones looked great on the wall.

I used to collect these 'back in the day' and made a concerted effort to acquire as many as possible. Living in the US at the time, I had to have them imported from specialty shops in the UK and they weren't cheap! I had them up in my various houses/flats/lofts throughout the years. Attached below you will find Chris looming in my current office in the Heart poster, and also an image of the I Get Along poster from my loft back in the US. (For more images of my flat/loft/etc., visit this link.)
