So the release is real but weather or not the item for sale is real is another question :)

That's good enough for me... ordered. :)

(having had a defective copy of Relentless in the past, I'm a tad neurotic about ensuring I always have a properly working 'official' copy)

I'm not sure 100% but it looks very suspicious to me.

1/ First of all, it's the first time I ever heard of a special japanese-only release of "Very" (and at the time I did my best to locate the japanese releases after the beautiful Behaviour 2CDs edition)

2/ The obi is almost identical to the one for the original spetember 1993 release of Very" in Japan (TOCP-8065 which you can see here : http://www.discogs.com/Pet-Shop-Boys-Ve ... se/1027219) leading me/us to believe this 2CD-set (TOCP-8065-8066) was released at the exact same time. The problem is that the tracklisting doesn't make any sense. Most of the bonus tracks were (I presume) recorded and (obviously) released much later as for instance "Absolutly Fabulous" or "Yesterday When I was Mad" (7" remix)...And if it was released later, say in late 1994 or 1995, it would have a release-number that matches the order of releases in Japan : "Disco 2" which was released in september 1994 just after the "Yesterday When I was Mad" single bears the release number TOCP-8370 (see her : http://www.discogs.com/Pet-Shop-Boys-Di ... ase/345065)...

For me this 2CDs "Very/Relentless" full of bonus tracks looks more like a good quality Bootleg but a bootleg nevertheless...

The actual TOCP-8066 is an album by the late Frank Sinatra called "Duets", so this is an unofficial release, albeit a good quality one.
