#1 Post by Axonthenet »

I took some photographs inspired by PSB songs. Comments will be very appreciated.

Thanks,
Axon

I once took some photos inspired by "The boy who couldn't keep his clothes on" and "Did you see me coming?"
Should I post them in the same thread?

The pictures look very strange on my screen, like translucent, I can't really see them? I'll do a picture for I Get Exicted if someone else does on for (I Get Excited Too)...it's the double penis cover all over again, but this time, you know, more excitement. Well, I spammed again ; )
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'
"He couldn't have fell off that hard" Ain't no way
"What happened to the way you was rappin' when you was scandalous
That Canibus turned into a television evangelist"
Plus he raps with his regular voice [BOOSH! BOOSH!]
[BOOSH! BOOSH!] (What was that?) Pet Shop Boys

Sorry, I find them vague and pretentious. They are uninteresting blurs, and trying to hitch them to PSB to ascribe deep pop meaning to them just doesn't work. You have to create your own meaning as a creative person. I mean this as sincere constructive criticism. Make interesting images, striking things we haven't seen before. Experiment, don't copy what's on an old CD. Always go for the new.

(I honestly mean this in a supportive way to the OP, not a meanspirited one. A good art school means tough honest critique. I hope he takes it in that sense. Perhaps in 2012 PSB will be seeking a good young graphic designer doing interesting things. They won't want to see what they've done before. Wow them with something new. Good luck. And that goes too for any client you might have, beyond PSB. Wow them with something they haven't seen.)
