It's not my fav, but musically it's a catchy vibe.

The chorus is a little bland to me though, wish it was a bridge to something else.

PS: I can't think of a single that I "hate".

I was hoping for Happy people, I'd like an extended remix of that. But I don't wanna is also nice.

I do enjoy reading how we all have different tastes among the Boys' songs.

I've discovered the I don't wanna is the track on Hotspot that I play 2 or 3 times in a row so I guess it must be my favourite!
Not sure if that makes it a good single choice but I'm not complaining.

I seem to recall Popjustice claimed the perfect single was 3.97 in length or something like that.
3.97? How does that work?
:D
No idea. I remember that Pop Justice stated that some while back and backed it up with examples. I'm suggesting it made sense.

Maybe they assume 97% of 1 minute, so the perfect track's length should be 3:58 circa

I can't really think of any previous PSB release that didn't feel like single material. Even Winner sounds like a single though it's insipid and lyrically awful. My previous qualms have been that far better potential singles have been waylaid for less good ones. This problem really peaked with Fundamental and Yes. However the release of I don't wanna is completely different. Not only is a far better song being eschewed but the song itself is pure filler and as dull as dishwater. It's not even particularly good b side material.

It's really divisive being a PSB fan isn't it?
We are all fans of different things and for different reasons.
I think the best moment on Hotspot is the couplet Hoping for a Miracle - I Don't Wanna
I do agree that the new single is weak on the lyrics side, but It sounds absolutely ace.
On the other hand I think that Happy People has a great chorus but the verses are weak, dull and amateurish .

So I'm happy with I Don't Wanna.

You think these lyrics are dull?? Amateurish???!??

——
All the pomp and circumstance
Can't drag me away from this
A simple suburban love affair
Where you fight and then you kiss (do you call me a fool)
The feeling of epic grandeur
At the end of a summers day
The sense of so much missing
When the world gets in the way
I sincerely *love* Disco 2 and listen to it straight through regularly.

Oh my God, now the situation is getting awkward!!!

I try to explain myself, please take note that I have a school level of English: it's obviously not my language:

I do agree that the new single is weak on the lyrics side, but It sounds absolutely ace.

Here I'm saying that the lyrics of I Don't Wanna are weak but tha song itself sounds ace and I love it.

So trying to make a comparison I wrote: On the other hand I think that Happy People has a great chorus but the verses are weak, dull and amateurish

without specification (my fault, probably) that I was still referring to the sound, music and melody and not the very good lyrics of Happy People.

So I should have written On the other hand I think that Happy People has a great chorus but the verses sound weak, dull and amateurish, because of that cheap piano "one note repeating" sound and the Metamorphosis rapping style.

I hope to have made justice to Happy People's lyrics, but I still don't like how the verses sound.
