Re: Neil on Radio 2
He played a great song off Lily Allens new album and a song by a guy/group who shouldve been much bigger than they were. missed their name tho. really good music actually. will probably listen to this show in future. He loves cutting into tracks abruptly eh?

The Brits award "feels nice" according to Neil.
They refused to go to the Brits in 1987 because "they were punk rockers".
"A warm feeling, the atmosphere felt very nice in the hall last night."
Drico.
PS Maconie is now tongueing Neil's nether regions. Dear me.

God, i long for the Smash Hits type questions. You'd think a guy like Maconie would have a few of those up his sleeve.....

This amount of promotion (and good vibes) really does make you wonder why the single is nearly a month away.....

Re: Neil on Radio 2
Yes songs were written a year ago, some very "up" pop songs - but some sad ones too. Xenomania understand electropop. He can't remember when they called it Yes, and they nearly called it Pandemonium.
Maconie calls it unashamedy pop. Neil says side 1 is megapop, but side 2 is weird. Legacy is "epic". Pandemonium was written for Kylie...

King of Rome is "autumnal with a beautiful melody".
Johnny Marr played on a Girls Aloud record as a result of the collaboration.

Says Yes is so called because of something to do with Yoko Ono.

They're writing a ballet...
Original versions, original score. 30 minutes music written. Based on a story by Hans Christian Andersen. Won't be finished for a couple of years - electronic with strings, like Potemkin.
They are touring this year...

Because the general public will imho lose interest pretty quickly, and the new material needs to be out there now so that those who have suddenly 'discovered' them have something new to buy.
