Resizing of animated avatars

#1 Post by Dizzyduck »

Does anybody know how to resize an animated .gif image? From, say, 200K to 100K etc? What tool do I have to use, how and so on...thx in advance!

Hmmm... Not sure that irfanview is any good for animated GIF's. It'll display them, but it won't resize them as far as I'm aware... I've never really tried making animated GIF's myself, so I don't really know what software is best...

Paint Shop Pro comes with Animation Shop that does it... But I have not used it for a long time.

Thank you, people! Yes, I tried Irfanview but didn't work, I suppose this Paint Shop Pro is not shareware or freeware, right? I only have the standard windows tools (paint, photo editor, and now Irfanview), but not Photoshop. If someone knows of a free downloadable prog for this, let me know! Thanx!

Yes, Paint Shop Pro is shareware.

You're more than welcome to email me the avatar and I'll do my best to resize it for you.

Just let me know exactly what file size you're hoping for.

If you're interested send me a PM for my email address.
