It has expired indeed. The infrastructure just needs some technical care — these security certs can be renewed automatically for free. I am trying to reach out to Steffen to see if he needs any help with this.

I can't help on this, unfortunately. Server / software issues are in the hands of Steffen.

Been looking for this "automatically" thing, since several months, but didn't found anything "easy" yet. So if you have some pages/explanations - just point me to them. Need this for around 10 websites and would be happy to kill the four dates in my calendar when I have to add a new certificate for every forum.

Do you run Plex? I think there's an option there to automatically renew a certificate. If you have installed it manually, a cronjob can do the trick. I think it also depends on the supplier of the certificate.

Not sure how "easy" this is but the official manual is here: https://certbot.eff.org/docs/using.html ... rtificates

Basically you need to:
  1. make sure that the latest certbot is installed
  2. make sure that "certbot renew" runs smoothly
  3. put it in cron to run say every month:

    Code: Select all

    0 0 1 * * /usr/bin/certbot renew --quiet
