Nope. They are totally different from each other. I'm not keen on MJ's music to be honest. There are some nice records but that sort of performing doesn't interest me.

I rarely post but this makes me do it...
It would have been an awful idea.
Especially since this whole "We are the world"-charity thing was something that Neil and Chris used to criticize.
Although they sold out with Absolutely Fabulous themselves...

I am sure it would have been interesting. I really can't think of two artists that are in the same genre that are so different. Thriller was my favorite album until I heard West End girls and Please. Now I hardly listen to it. RIP MJ I always wanted you to make a comeback. I think a cover would be interesting.

I think Michael Jackson was perfectly capable of losing money without the curse of the PSB.

What a wonderful idea, nickers. They could have covered this.....

Where's "Absolutely G-D not"?

And Jackson would never have worked with an openly gay musician. (Of course I mean Neil alone! Chris is still looking for the perfect girl
). Between his Jehovah's Witness background and his own overflowing closet of skeletons and general weirdness, Jackson was tetchy and fierce in his declarations of 100% heterosexuality to the end. It was not something he was casual about, and I've read he studiously avoided public associations with gay people.
I imagine N&C would be intrigued, but quite aware working with MJ would be a nightmare. They've dealt with divas, but with MJ they'd be employees, it would take a year to do half a song with his erratic behavior, whims, and inability to collaborate. Hypothetical musing is interesting though.

Instead of Boys Boys Boys they could sing Pet-Shop-Boys. Sorry now you can never listen to this song without .. . . . . .. . . .Patrick Bateman wrote:What a wonderful idea, nickers. They could have covered this.....
THE FUTURE THAT YOU ANTICIPATED HAS BEEN CANCELLED
Re: Would have you wanted PSB to do a record with M. Jackson?
haha, the Sabrina song would be a great cover..
Definately not. It would be a dreadful idea. Not even the Pet Shop Boys could have rescued MJ's career I'm afraid to say..

Are you sure? Wasn't he working together with an ex gay porn producer for the charity single after 9/11 that was never released? Although maybe the producer was straight after all...(?)Deschanel wrote:Where's "Absolutely G-D not"?
