Re: CARDIFF
Yay! I'll be there. Horrible venue.
Re: CARDIFF
I'm here! My hotel room is looking out on the arena.

Re: CARDIFF
I'm going to be in the Radisson Blu. Looks nice.
Re: CARDIFF
Also, are there always so many hen party's in the city? I mean literally, no matter where you look there's another one.
Re: CARDIFF
I very much enjoyed "Pandemonium" at the Caridiff arena and the City itself if superb. I chose this venue instead of Birmingham which apparently went down very well last night so am very much looking forward to boarding the train tomorrow morning for a good day out. Hope the venue is full and enthusiastic.

Re: CARDIFF
Just got back from the show. Enjoyef the lasers a lot.
Sound quality was diabolical. 80% was constant echoey bass rumble. I thought it was the venue but Go West sounded perfectly clear. Some songs were barely recognisable.
I was standing by the mixing desk and almost felt like having a word about it.

Well, those side seats that were sold at the pre-sale were crap! Couldn't see anything for the first part of the show until the curtains at the sides of the stage were pulled back for Opportunities. Most of the people around me abandoned the seats, as did I eventually.
Other than that, once I could actually see something, great as always. Chris seemed to be having a blast.
Why do people now go to gigs for the sole purpose of watching it through the screen of their phone?

Re: CARDIFF
I preferred the actual show to the Pandemonium tour. It had a harder edge. Less larking around with boxes.
Shame about the sound. Even if they just unplugged that booming bass drum it would have been so much clearer. I don't know if they were trying for a "club" feel. It didn't end up sounding like a club.

Re: CARDIFF
The sound is always crap in that echoey venue - it's like playing in a cave.
Re: CARDIFF
Loved it - seemed a bit different from Manchester last year - must check set lists.
Had the same front row seats behind the mixing desk facing the stage as for Pandemonium - nice enthusiastic crowd - like the smaller arena - no problems at all - met some fans whilst having a curry beforehand.
Thought Neil was perfect throughout.
One thing that amused me was Chris being led off stage by an Assistant when he was wearing the mirror ball head gear as if he couldn't see at all!

The Bangkok crowd earlier in this tour were probably the worst for this, many even on their phones whilst the show was on or just texting/tweeting without actually looking up most of the time. Or even worse, taking selfies with their mates, not even with the stage in the background. Reminded me of assembly at school, where some would be fooling about unseen without paying attention.
