Singapore review (August 3rd)

#1 Post by rollo » Mon 12 Aug 2013, 1:04 am

Hi folks,

I put some thoughts together about the Singapore gig here: http://musicforstowaways.wordpress.com/ ... singapore/

I've also just added links to some other press coverage.

Thanks for sharing.

This made me laugh... "Then came Fugitive and Integral. Hmm, Integral is a bit subversive, isn’t it?"

Only in Singapore could Integral be seen as subversive, and Fugitive not. ;)

Retro. :)

You know, it had never even occurred to me to wonder what Fugitive was about. Geowayne's interpretations are interesting - presumably it's the first of those that you're referring to?

I was also at this concert. Where were you sitting? I was about 6 rows back, slightly to the right of stage.

As soon as the curtain went down tons of people ran towards the front of the stage and everyone around me stood up and danced...and didn't stop until the end of the concert. I didn't notice anyone sitting down.

Ellie was there too, she was lucky to meet Neil and Chris in a local market the day before the gig and had a chat with them. I'm sure she'll post about it when she's back.

Further back, also on the right hand side. I can't remember now whether all the seating towards the front had sold out already when I bought my ticket or whether it was just too expensive!

I did wonder whether it was worth pushing towards the front, but as you gathered, everyone around me was pretty subdued, and it wasn't clear whether things were better elsewhere...
