First night I think. It was a Monday. Whatever one was used in a video for one of their singles that came out shortly after as I spotted myself a couple of times in it. (Nowhere near as big a fan as I am of PSB as you can probably tell!).
Fantastic show by the way.

Re: Electric Tour 2014 thread
Here the same even 'cos most of the gigs are not in main cities and quite expensive. Really surprised for one only gig in Germany and even inside a djs event...bohemians. wrote:I hope there are more tour dates infos soon..

I was so hoping for a proper gig in Berlin, it`s a city I`ve been wanting to visit for ages! I don`t think it will happen this year - it might be London`s O2 in the endDanger wrote:Here the same even 'cos most of the gigs are not in main cities and quite expensive. Re: Electric Tour 2014 thread
I went to the Ventura show last Friday. Unfortunately, my friend who I went with, had a family emergency so we left towards the end. The boys were great, but the energy of the audience was a bit subdued. I saw them last year in LA at the Shrine and the energy level was amazing! It was a bit of a letdown this time around. Also, I think since there were newer songs towards the beginning, the crowd wasn't as much into it. I wanted to see the Coachella show online but couldn't.

Following their first sold out show in The Netherlands, Pet Shop Boys have added another date in Utrecht. They will now return to TivoliVredenburg for a second Electric concert on Monday 11th August. Tickets will go on sale this Saturday, May 10th, from http://www.tivolivredenburg.nl/agenda/759/PetShopBoys2

Some good pictures from Sandance, Dubai on Friday. Was anyone from the Forum there? I lived in Dubai for a year and never expected the boys would ever play there!
Re: Electric Tour 2014 thread
New UK date, and its a proper concert and not another festival.
GLASGOW Clyde Auditorium 5th September
Could it be PSB's last ever concert in Scotland before independence?

Anyone going to Glasgow - we are toying between Glasgow and Gateshead but never been to either of them. Glasgow would be the simpler journey and both seem to be in similar types of new venues - are they very large? Interested to hear of anyone's experiences.ZiggyPSB wrote:New UK date, and its a proper concert and not another festival.

I'm very glad to see that a Hong Kong date has been added on 26 September. The tickets are £100 though! Seriously?!

Prick up your ears.
Re: Electric Tour 2014 thread
I timed my summer vacation at my summerhouse in Denmark with Pet Shop Boys' performance at Smukfest in Skanderborg on the 7th. I had never been to the festival- it's in a beautiful setting in the middle of the woods. My brother and I went together and were able to find perfect spots very close to the stage, and it was quickly getting dark when the first sounds of Axis hit the audience. The concert worked really well in this setting, and people were singing along loudly, although I don't think a lot of big fans were there - I was wearing my US Electric tout t-shirt but only spotted an Electric cap. In any case, they really charmed the audience and especially during the final series of hits - It's a sin, Always on my mind, Go West - people went wild. Vocal served as a strong reminder that the boys are still making music that everybody can dance to.
My only regret was that they skipped I'm not scared (that I had LOVED during the concerts in New York last year) and Thursday - Example was performing right after the boys at the same stage and it would have been thrilling to see/hear them perform it together.
The reviews in the Danish press have all been fantastic, some even ecstatic. Berlingske, Jyllands Posten, BT, Ekstrabladet and Gaffa all gave them 5 star reviews (out of 6), Politiken 4 (but the review really reads like a 5 star one!).
They'll be back in Copenhagen on Friday, I'm not able to go - but I'm sure that the great reviews will pull even more people to go the show.
