PSB in Ontario

#1 Post by weirdalfan1980 » Wed 15 Jul 2009, 3:40 am

Attention all who lives in eastern canada, PSB arent going to Toronto, they are going to a festival north of Barrie to Burl's creek, at the Virgin mobile Festival on Sunday August 30th,.

Do google map

http://maps.google.ca/

Type in Burl's creek, Ontario, Canada, it will tell you how to get there. Be more specific its an Automotive flea market but its a concert venue, name not a town, its on Line 8 Oro-medonte off highway 11 between Barrie and Orillia.

AND

Click on Lineup, and info!!!

See you there

BTW i live 30 minutes away!

EDIT: will PSB play full set in a festival?

Tickets on sale Saturday July 18th, 12pm EST

PSB won't play a full set, they'll get just over an hour.

Oh great. I hate festival and I don't want my friend to feel obliged to
go somewhere she won't have as much fun as me, and I don't even know the other acts.

This really hurt me.

I saw some ticket on sales for some festival, but now since I don't have anyone go to with, I don't bother with them, plus they are a pain.

Here is another link. It's a three days Festival apparently,
and PSB is playing second night.

Now I am going to cry. I know no one who is interested in camping.

they are not a headliner, they will play before nine inch nails and won't get a full set.

i've gone to all the vfests here and the sub headliner plays for just over an hour.

judging from previous years schedules, they should be on around 7:40 pm and play until 8:40 - 8:50pm. there is usually a 20 min break in between each band, this all may change if the noise curfew is different at burls creek though.

it's a two day festival...you can camp for three days.

if you only want to go on the sunday to see psb, they will have single day tickets available to purchase and go for the day.

Well to see them for 1 day pass is fair enough i will look into it, if the price is wrong to see the PSB for 1 hour its not worth it. Well if the bands are good i may go see them as well.

I dont really care for them but i maybe check them out, they decapitated a Joy Division song Dead souls. And yes Hummingbird was pricey I was there! Even weird al at Massey was less (60$) and Casino Rama was less then that (45$). It depends on venue. Like i say for 1 day pass or whatver is fair $$$ i maybe pop by see PSB i have to find out when their set is on.

What I am wondering: Are we 100% sure they will only play for just under an hour (?) instead of the full show they play EVERYWHERE ELSE?
I really want to go see them, but spending $100 x2 on tickets for a 10-min or so appearance + drive + potential overnight stay...*shudder*

Anyone know if we will be able to buy merchandise/the tour program there? And if there will be a VIP Meet&Greet?

My words exactly :(
Most of all I regret not making enough $$ for a Montreal trip.
