Is this the PSBs first TV appearance after signing to EMI?
I'd never seen this clip before, but it looks like part of the promotion for first Opportunities single.

It's just like a bad trip I once had.

It's apparently from a 1985 UK kids show. Anybody know which one?
Las Vegas 1999

I have a sneaky suspicion it might have been Runaround - that Mike Reid game show for kids. *shows age*
Prick up your ears.

That's great... it seems more effort went into that than the official Did you see me coming? film clip.

Hi - long time lurker and eventual poster!
If this is the one I'm thinking of it's from Poparound, a spin off of Runaround which was presented by Gary Crowley. Genuinely remember watching this at the time and loving it....I must have been 6! Can't say for certain whether this is the one seeing as it was 25 years ago. Would love someone to verify if it is or not as I've always remembered watching it.

Yup - this is from the Children's ITV show "Poparound" hosted by DJ Gary Crowley back in 1985, which as you rightly say was a reworking of "Runaround" but with pop bands and pop quiz questions.

Fantastic - thanks for the clarification.
Yep always remembered watching this performance - it's probably the only reason I remember the actual programme itself! It always stuck in my head as it was the first time I'd ever seen them not surprisingly.
It's much trippier than what I remember - though I was only six at the time

Oh, but isn't this mix a bit weird?

Greetings,
Retro.
It's the original single version of Opportunities... to put that in context, it pre-dates the EMI release of West End Girls. Off the topic of my head, I think this mix (or one incredibly close to it) appears on the Please Further Listening disc and the Pop Art DVD.le petit corbusier wrote:Oh, but isn't this mix a bit weird?

This mix is very unique to this performance, both musically and lyrically (the words 'dime' and 'cents' are not present in any other released version of this song). Sounds like a rough demo...retrofuturist wrote:Greetings,
