Tomcraft In Private

#1 Post by York Minster » Mon 29 Mar 2010, 10:50 pm

I'm listening to the Tomcraft mixes of In Private for the first time today. What kind of horrible mess of drugs was this guy on? Has anyone else heard them?
And tryin' to figure out what happened to 'Germaine Propaine'

The Tomcraft mix of In Private is execrable. Come to think of it, the production on Flamboyant isn't anything to write home about, either. The Tomcraft extended mix of Flamboyant is really dull, like a pizza with no toppings.

I haven't played them for a while but the repeated element of Elton singing 'Backseat between' is a bit naughty I think.

It almost sounds like it is bad on purpose. Like someone as a joke transposed all the notes around while sequencing.

Horrible. Ranks up there with DJ Pierre's take on I wouldn't normally do this kind of thing on the sonic atrocity scale.

Quite so, but as far as I understand it they are not that easy to find. I have a feeling sometimes that many lurkers stay out of discussions because we talk about the David Morales Red Zone Deep House Dub Edit and such when "lesser" fans haven't heard of it. There are many fans who enjoy the boys, have most of the albums, but can't off the top of their head tell you what any of the lyrics to I Want TO Wake Up are or remember what album Casanova is on.

I am a 'stranger' in this thread since I like these mixes. I have bought the original 12" (promo) and converted into MP3 and, since that day I haven't ever deleted them from my MP3 player.
Am I the only one?

The Tomcraft mixes are awful, quite possibly the worst remixes ever.

The 7" e-smoove mix is nice, the 12" is boring
